Water in driver-side visor

Hello!

Sometime in the past few days, there has been a water leak coming from the driver side visor - somehow water has gotten into the actual visor, and I’m trying to pinpoint the cause. The headliner and pillars are dry, so I’m a bit lost. I noticed the windshield seal on the outside is buckling a bit (pics attached), so I’m not sure if that’s the cause. I looked around the panoramic sunroof but the seals look fine there. Any ideas on where to start?

Thanks!

Did you check the sunroof drains?

Just reached out to my detailer about getting that done. Looks to be a common thing based on other threads.

Had this issue with my X5 a month after I bought it, except with the passenger side. Flooded my floorboard but the pillars and headliner were fine. Turned out, the sunroof drains were clogged. Best to clean them out once a year; all the leaves, pollen, dirt and grime build up and clog the lines.

Had the same issue. Sunroof drains were clogged here.
