I'm trying to change the logo on the start up hud. When i change it in BMW_Logo in Kombi nothing is changing in the HUD, it is only changing the logo on the digital cluster.

Can i change the logo on HUD startup?

If so, where can i change it?

I coded the halo angel eyes to 100% per instructions here in the forum for the 4 FDLs how will long it take to become effective? I verified that the coding went through but testing right after coding I didn't see the desired outcome, which is 100% brightness with lights on.

Other than trunk, most coding takes affect rather quickly. At most, I power cycle to enable.

Help me please, I must be donig something wrong because a day later I still do not see the desired effect after making the changes below on my X5 with xenon lamps. All changed from 2.7v to 100%. When the low beams are on the halos dimed. But they're at 100% when DRL and parking lights are on.

Not sure. I never mess with my DRL's other than turning them off.

There is an option (idrive) to automatically lock the doors after a certain amount of time. This option ensures that if you forget to lock your car, it will be done automatically. What is the delay time? Can this be coded (couldn't find it in the cheat sheet).

Any other ideas on how to get the angel eyes to be at 100% all the time?

I think that setting is to re-lock the doors if they've been unlocked but not opened after already being locked. It will not automatically lock the doors if they were not previously locked.

Hey Guys,

I just got a 2016 40e, downloaded e-sys 3.28 and 2.6.2 launcher. I was able to see all the CADF when I connected to the car and all looks well, I backed up the CADF files. I haven't changed any settings yet, as I`m a little worried.

Primary I just want to change few settings based on the cheat sheet.

I`m a little confused about NCD / CAFD Tool what does it do and what do I need it for? Also I keep seeing reference to EDIABAS.INI file which I do not have, but I`m assuming since I was able to connect to the car its fine ?

Other big concern is the ISTA/P version I guess, I`m using provided PSdZData lite from file pszdata_v3.60.1.003_lite... is that the latest and fine for my 40e ? I`m a little stuck on how to verify my version compared to the downloaded files...
Also everywhere it says that this file should be pretty big(pszdata_v3.60.1.003_lite), but I`m only getting about 2gig when extracted is that right ?

I want to try to code it tonight, would really appreciate some feedback before I do something wrong...

Sorry if I sound like a total noob, just want to be careful with a new car....

NCD / CAFD Tool is not needed for coding. It is an optional tool that I and others use.

EDIABAS is part of BMW Standard tools. It is also not needed for E-sys. It is used for ISTA+ and ISTA-P.

Psdzdata comes from ISTA-P. Full version (~60-80 GB) contains 9 additional folders (%\Psdzdata\swe) and is used for flash programming. From full, lite (~2GB) is created and all that is needed for VO and FDL-Coding.

I have an x5 40e and I've been trying unsuccessfully to code the halo rings to remain at 100% all the time. Right not they are 100% only when DRL or parking is on. They dim when the low beams are on. Any help or insight is greatly appreciated. I read that some have been successful on doing so on other models, has anyone done it on the F15? What do I need to change in addition to the four codes I listed few posts ago?

Just to make sure about pszdata_v3.60.1.003_lite, is this the correct one to use for my car ? Is that the latest ? Or do I still need to compare versions with my car ? I`m a little confused about that part...
