I'm glad you got the chance to post this. This should solve the question regarding the 360° camera not working properly, due to the Unichip adapter not being enabled from the factory.

As far as the wireless Joyeauto adapter is concerned, the company has assured sbinshihon that the 360° camera does indeed work, although he can't confirm this, because he only has a backup camera. So hopefully, when the GB is completed soon, someone can answer this question for the rest of us as well.

One question answered, one question pending. Where's Maverik259 to chime in? Has anybody seen him lately?

Haha yeah, just jumped in the car for the demo and it's like 100F in Houston...
The USB port is not factory it came with the unichip set and I figured it's a good spot to mount it there...

Yes camera is coded to a longer time not always on though... obviously if you don't have it coded it will turn off quite a bit sooner.

To me I need the phone always plugged in otherwise I will not make it to the end of the day... also why I got that Apple Watch charger there... so actually prefer the wired option...

In terms of mic it's really not noticeable that much and defiantly not in the way... quality of the audio is actually better than factory what people tell me because of the distance to the drivers head...

No, it hasn't been confirmed yet. qqqqqding just installed a wireless adapter, maybe he can help us.

I can confirm that 360 now works as expected. Thanks to MrTookie. Changing one setting did the trick. Just set the PDC Key to on. Mine was off by default.

Not sure if the wired option is still available but I was curious about how audio is routed while in CarPlay. Specifically, it is routed through the AUX port as are the wireless options? I was thinking the wired connection might allow you to forego the AUX port and therefore achieve better sound quality.

Thoughts? The other nice parts about wired option is charging and instantaneous connection.

Well, I needed to plug the included external mic from Unichip, I did not on the first attempt and Siri was not hearing me, or anyone I tried to call, so in my case, external mic was a must

Has anyone noticed that Unichip CarPlay interface (USB wired) does not charge the iphone?
Today I took a screenshot of my iPhone home page before I left work, and a second one when I arrived at home, it was a 22 min ride just using waze, battery percentage decreased from 36% to 35%, so I was wondering if this is normal and this interface does not charge or I have some kind of an issue here?

It does charge, but not sufficient to keep up with the energy consuption of the phone with the screen on and active navigation... It's just a standard USB port, with 0.5Amps... The phone needs a 2.1Amps charger when used this way...

But, anyway, the whole point of this CarPlay box was to use the Navi Screen for Waze, not the phone... What are you up to?
