Up on the lift. Removed the 3M double sided tape and installed with betalink adhesives.

Now you've got me scared. I just installed mine a couple days ago using 3M VHB. Why did you change?

The 3M double sided tape seems to hold well during local drives and lower speeds when I used to live/commute local roads daily. I've since moved quite a few miles away from my job and my commute is mostly highway speeds (80+ mph). It appears that my front lip is taking a lot of downforce from the winds ( this tells me the front lip is actually functional ) and the tape is just not holding up to the tremendous force. I started seeing gaps and the lip moves freely in some parts. So I decided to have it properly installed using the betalink adhesives to hold up to the downforce from high speeds.

Been away for work in a pretty remote location with extremely limited cell phone service/usage. Before I left, I was able to get most of the black mark out, but there seems to be a discoloration that remains. My plan is to get a professional detail job done. She needs it and most of you guys have said that a good wax or clay will get her looking like new again!

Thanks for this. I plan on doing the same. I travel 100 miles per day at speeds of 70 mph plus. Also if there is any damage to the lip and the bumper had to be replaced I would think you could make an insurance claim and just pay the deductible |

If anyone wants beta link K1, I can give mine away. I have 4 tubes that's just going to be wasted. I believe they're 50ml each. Just pay for shipping and any other charges associated with it from Canada. Pm me if interested.

I actually raced one of my buddies on the highway doing 120 and my lip fell off.
Not sure if it was poor installation or cheap chinese carbon fiber and missing brackets to blame . I ended up going the oem route and getting all the correct brackets. Definitely doing the betalink and vhb3 tape to be sure. Also, my friend who used to work at BMW said that betalink can be taken off using a sharp wire like a finishing line. |

A beauty! Thanks Do you have more taken at different angles? I'd like to see how the wheels complement the less aggressive body style( namely front and rear bumpers) of the M sport compared to the more agressively styled bumpers of the M.
Is your X5 lowered too? |
