just ordered mine, 2014 X5 35i, dealer gave me invoice + $500. Also got the $1000 credit for return buyer. This is the deal they always give me, I have bought 7 BMW from them over the last 15 years. Pretty good deal, msrp was 74,900 and my price is 69,398

If you have Costco, you can get invoice + 1000 anywhere where there is a dealer participating in their program. I had to go out of State in order to get that offer!

So.... I'm confused here.
Everyone is talking about "invoice + $1000", does the invoice include MACO/training fee? It looks MACO/training fee is the BS thing you can't avoid. |

I'm fighting with dealerships to get an offer for the Diesel...as it is not yet released in Canada (not sure if you can order them in the US now?!), they don't have the interest rates yet nor the Loyalty discounts for 2014. So very tricky. I probably have to wait a bit longer

What is better $500 above invoice or 6% off MSRP? At what % off does this kind of deal surpass the $500 above invoice way of negotiating? The MSRP of the X5 I may order will be about 80k (if that matters).

I think most people negotiate from invoice up, instead of MSRP down. You can use http://bmwconfig.com/ and go to Configurator tab and see the MSRP vs Invoice.

you need to have a Costco membership and you can either go to costcoauto.com and configure your car, by the way it will show you msrp and invoice and once you're done the website will show you the dealer closest to you that will honor their price; or just call Costco and ask for their auto program. Good luck!
