Are you referring to Classic_Erik, if so he's the one that convinced me to go w/ BC Racing. I'll def give you my impressions. I used BC Racing coilovers on my E46 M3 and was extremely impressed. Let's not get it twisted though, the M3 is a totally different platform then this 5000 lb beast. Just looking for a fairly comfortable ride, closing the wheel gap, and hoping to reduce SOME bodyroll. Oh, and not bottoming out when she's loaded down w/ the fam.

Thanks! It was a lot of fun to do. Had to go out on Easter Sunday to find an empty commuter lot!

I was walking out of CVS and thought wow the car looks really good in this light. Then I looked at my phone and realized that our pics never really do justice.. so I didn't take it. That is all..

Got a call back from the dealer. Warranty is covering all the repairs. 113k KM. Didn't expect it but happy I took it in for a check up. I'll be interested to check the notes to see what was done on the repair. Maybe I can convince them to change out my tranny pan and fluid hahaha. Never love a car being ripped apart but always enjoy no cost repairs.
- torque converter output seal and fix the leaking bolts on the transmission pump. $1600 labor $1300 parts. big job. dropping the tranny. - fixing the leaking o-rings on the turbo's cooling lines. i've heard this is a PITA job because of how the turbos interfaces into the exhaust manifold. $900 labor $375 parts. some even say to drop the engine. - trans cooler lines. leaking at tranny housing. $220 total. Freshly ceramic coated 469M's waiting patiently to go back on. Enjoying the loaner, its a blast to drive, but a bit tight at 6 ft 4. Miss my hitch, wanna go mountain biking. Edit - Just went through NewTIS and looked at what steps are required for the above jobs.... glad I am not doing it. VERY intrusive. Lots to take off. They aren't the best I'm sure, but at only ~$1000 they are over delivering. I bought from FCP Euro for the lifetime warranty in case there is ever a prob with them. Edit: Sorry for the non-F15 content Last edited by crystalworks; 04-08-2021 at 12:09 PM.. |

I bet E53's are rare up in the great white north. At this point the youngest one has seen 15 winters up there. Takes a dedicated owner to stay on top of cleaning the under carriage every season. |
