Who has picked up the new X6?
Wondering if anyone has already purchased and picked up their new X6 and if they could share their insight and overview...
Thx |

Here's a photo thread that I started (I'm the second guy in the previous post): Photos: http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1069069 My previous car was an E71 X6. The F16 X6 is quite similar to the E71 X6. The exterior didn't change much. I think that the interior finishes are nicer now. The infotainment enhancements are the same as the F15 and they're quite nice. It has the 'drive' updates that have made its way to all the newer BMWs: steering wheel buttons moved around, comfort/sport/ecopro, and auto start/stop . Those are a mixed bag. Here's a 'things that I wish were different' thread that I started shortly after I received my car. Some of the things I mentioned as being annoying remain, but a bunch were fixed by other's suggestions (Yay!), coding (thanks @opasha !) and just getting used to the car. http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...4#post17073084 |

excellent folks!
Thanks for the updates... By the way, how does everyone find the rear visibility, with the window frame being so small? And what about the rear seat's space? Has there been any improvements since the previous generations (I remember when trying the E 71, my head would hit the roof, when sitting at the back ) |

Fine and fine. I use door mirrors more, but I think they are a bit smaller on my M50D. I cannot get used to the power hatch though and relying on button to stop in limited spaces is proving tricky. There is a little delay and then if you want it going one way or the other it is press or press and hold and it was a s much easier when you could hold it and move it yourself.

I think that the rear seat is situated a little lower than before so there is more headroom. Its mighty comfy back there. |

I got my F16 last week, it took few months to order, wait for allocation, build, ship to San Francisco area. This replaced E71 from 2012, also 5.0i. First car for me with red interior. I've ordered the cable for coding, hoping to make few changes with Omar's help.
