"Life Cycle Impulse" - basically the mid-life refresh that BMW has on its models. We're about 3-4 years from the F15 X5 having its LCI refresh

So when is the LCI model supposed to be released? The E70 went 07-10 before the '11 LCI model if we assume the same, it will be in 2017 for the '18 MY? That seems like a long time

Dear BMW Santa, I wish for:

for the doors to stop opening while driving;
for the rear comfort seats to stop squeaking and rattling like a cheap old couch;
for the door alignments to be precise and not like Stevie Wonder handled them;
for the steering wheel column to stop making those awful plastic-scratchy sounds when turned;
for the sun-glass compartment not being an option;
I wish for many things BMW Santa,

but I sure as hell couldn't care less about all your laser-scheiser-oled-giantkeyfob-nano-technology when a USD 150K BMW feels and is less well built than a USD 40k Skoda Superb my wife drives.

I think that's the limitation of the Sat broadcast, not the receiver. If I am not mistaken, they broadcast at a very low bit-rate, around 80kbps, which is pretty low for a digital broadcast.

I also don't like the HD-Radio sound in X5, it sounds way too mechanical, so I keep using Analog which sounds much better. I am sure HD would help in a rural town with reception issues to cut down the static, but in big city regular good old analog sounds much better.

My wish list:

Laser headlight option
6WB (Full LED Dash) option
Brake lamps to work when signal is blinking
Bring back to Deep Sea Blue or replace imperial blue, and add red color option
More wheel options
Red interior LED option instead of orange
Heated Steering wheel indicator on dash (anything, really, even a tiny led light)
To be able to control headlight washer spray (or a separate knob or button for that) so it doesn't spray all over my hood unexpectedly
Improved blind spot monitoring system
Improved collusion warning and intervention system
True front corner cameras
Better LED head-light distribution right out of the factory
Compass in Mirror or always-on compass somewhere on the dash
More information to be displayed on HUD like Compass, Temperature, Sport display option like gear, rpm, etc..
Top tinted windshield.

I don't know what LCI stands for. But, my wish list for F15 echoes other ones mentioned above:

- 40d / 50d
- anti dazzle beams
- changed fender forms to reduce mud and avoid the need for mud flaps
- phone mirroring
- charging USB in back seats
- Factory dash cam recording on the internal HDD and fed by the existing front and rear cameras
- kick open trunk/boot hatch ala X3, X4 (part in catalogue is under $50 I think)

Traffic Jam Assistant
40d/50d
Anti-Dazzle enabled
Laserlight
Front camera HDD recording (that should be super easy to do)
Active blind spot assistant like Mercedes (with active lane assist that actually keeps you in lane vs just a vibration on steering)

Anyone have the LCI master schedule? The one that has all the models?

I'd like the ability to disable mirror auto dimming, ideally by profile, but with a button on the mirror also.

Sometimes you actually want to *tell* if it's a police car behind you or not ;p
