Key-fob Behavior

Been trying to sort out the weird key-fob behavior we have and not having much luck. Our X5 is the wifes daily driver, she is set up at memory #1 (I'm memory #2). If she drives the car and parks it in the garage (doesn't lock it) and I open the drivers door with my key in my pocket, the seat moves automatically to my position.

However if I drive it, leave it unlocked and she opens the door with her key in her pocket/purse, the seats don't move. She has to lock the car, then unlock it and then they move to her settings.

Thoughts?

The car remembers your position when you unlock the car. She just meeds to grab the door handle (unlock) and the seat will move.

Hire a valet to lock the car behind you.

That isn't the issue .... the seat does move when the door is locked and she grabs the handle to unlock.

What it's not doing is moving when the car isn't locked, but it does for me.

Maybe her fob battery is weak and doesn't detect her when she grabs the handle?
Otherwise just tell her to press the unlock button?

Battery is fine, most of the time the fob is in her pocketbook. Not a big deal, just wondering if anyone has run into this.
