http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1422212 USA is down a bit YOY for august at 8.2% decline but only down 5.8% YTD. Next X5 platform will start rolling off the line in about 11 months or so. They will probably start discounting or rebates in 6 months I suppose. |

They still didn't update the website to reflect 2018 builds and I expected that to happen mid-August.

Hi All,
I am brand new to this forum and brand new to BMW as a whole. Looking at dipping my toes in the water with the X5. I have read through quite a few pages of this thread but have a lingering question. I am looking for what I can realistically ask for in terms of price from the dealer. I hate doing the back and forth with the sales manager so I would rather walk in and say "This is the price I want to pay. I am basing this on ___% off of MSRP + the additional $______ available incentives." I havent quite nailed down which one I am looking at but it will most likely be a 2017 S Drive 35i and hover around the $65k mark. Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. |

I was at my local BMW dealer recently at they found a BMW that they claimed had every feature I was looking for but at a difference location. They sent me over a pricing sheet but it had no VIN. I emailed asking for a window sticker or the URL of the dealership it was at so that I can do more research but no luck. Attached is the pricing they quoted me on the vehicle with extremely minimal negotiating (ignore interest rates. I didnt let them run my credit yet which is Tier 1). View post on imgur.com |

Our office received 11% off on X5 2017 off the lot on first request. This might be including the rebate that is expiring on 10/2 since dealer did not share the worksheet, but they were ready to make a deal.

October Residual 59% for 36/10K.
Dropped same as MY17. Not going to work for lots of buyer unless they bump up the rebate to 6K on 40e. Last edited by leasehackr; 10-03-2017 at 10:21 AM.. |

How is this quote? Anything I'm missing? 2018 35i, MSRP of $70,935. Sales price of $66,000. No money towards cap cost reduction. Money factor of .00117 and residual of 58% on a 3/36 lease. It should be the base money factor less the benefit from MSDs. Is it?
Base payment on the lease is $816 plus tax ($73 in PA). MSRP of $70,935 includes the destination charge and sales price of $66k includes lease acquisition fee. Based on the inclusion of fees this represents a 7% discount off MSRP. I'm guessing that's really the only variable left to negotiate. I wonder how aggressive they'll get in final model year? Although jacked money factor and lower residuals doesn't make them look too aggressive right now. |

MF is not jacked, it's low, (Currently BMW FS 0.00152, 3.648%) are you leasing through 3rd party? Also are you getting $1500 BMW rebate? Market is about 7% + Rebate. Can't comment on OOP costs or taxes.

Well, the money factor is higher than it was when I leased my 2015. I’m leasing through BMW, my guess is that the MSD reduction to the money factor has been reduced. See my post in the non sticky leasing thread for additional color. I am getting the $1500 credit although it’s being applied against cash upfront and not against the selling price of the car. So, I am getting 7% plus the $1500 credit plus the $1,000 BMW CCA loyalty credit.

Usually discount is counted before any other fees, out of pocket charge roll up to the cap cost. MSD is long gone so is low MF of 2015. My 2015 MF is 0.00131 or .134 Now base is .00152. |

there are no MSDs/way to buy down the base MF. sounds like a miscommunication or confusion. no need to rush, once you run credit, you are locked in and have three months to see what rates and incentives look like later if one wishes.

this is new information to me and very interesting. I wonder if the buy-down % is the same from previous lease as well.
