Or it's not good idea to own German cars for that long period(10yrs)? How many years do people usually keep their X5 or other German SUVs?

Any input appreciated!!

Thanks!

I drove a 2001 E53 4.4i with the sports package, bought new, same M62 motor as yours... no real problems with regular maintenance (oil and filter changes every 5k miles, spark plugs and transmission fluids every 50k, brakes and tires every 40k) at 130k only needed new bushings and some suspension work done. Really solid first try in the SUV space for BMW, great handling and pretty good performance for what was available at the time.

Unfortunately for today's world, that motor is from the 90s so it has less power than many of the turbocharged 4-bangers out there today.
