3rd Row

Hi, I purchased a 2015 X5 35i Xline a couple months ago. It came equipped with 3rd row. I have tried to set up the 3rd row seats a few times and I always get a rear seat unlocked message. No matter how many times I try to reset both the 2nd and 3rd row I can't get the message to go away. Before I take it in to get looked at, I wanted to know if there are any tricks to getting this done. Thanks.

In the middle row, did the little red button on the top of the seat (next to the headrest) pop up? I'll take a pic of it when I take my kids to school in the morning...

I am not sure. Does it pop up to indicate that its secure? Just to clarify, it only happens when the 3rd row is up. Once I put the 3rd row down the message goes away. Thanks for the reply!

I can try mine tonight and let you know, that is, unless you solved it?

I get this message from time to time when I adjust the second row seats as well. The sensors are just very sensitive and what I do to solve the issue is to give the rear seats a firm push after you feel that they are locked in place.

Also check if there is anything stuck in between the latching teeth for the second row (NOT the latch system), I usually have to force the second row to lock in place, sometimes gum wrappers or other kid crap gets in there.

Thank you all for your replies. I am actually out of the country until next week. I will try what has been suggested upon my return and see if I can make the message go away. If not I will get it checked when I go in for my first service. I am not too concerned since we really have no use for the 3rd row. We got it for those just in case situations that you have more than 5 passengers. Thanks again.
