infotainment question

Ok, so I'm driving along in my '17 X5 listening to Classic vinyl (SiriusXM) and I make a phone call and when the call is done the screen stays on the 'phone', not returning to 'media' unless I manually toggle it ??

This can't be normal can it ??

My 17 goes back to last media source after a call through bt/ or CarPlay so i don't believe that's normal at all but what do I know 🤷🏼

If it doesn't go back...doesn't a simple press of the MODE button on the right MFL steering wheel button pod allow you to go back? Perhaps its still a "toggle" (but more of a single press)...but less trouble than fiddling with the iDrive controller buttons etc.

Example below is from the f15 X5 sport steering wheel...but all the MFL steering wheels should have a MODE button:

Had to make a call on the way home today and remembered this thread.

Listening to SiriusXM. Hit phone button on steering wheel, scrolled to call the number I wanted. Screen changes to the phone. I ended the call using the button on the steering wheel again. Once call was hung up and done with screen went back to SiriusXM automatically.

Strange behavior on your end.

Gents, yes perhaps something is amiss ?? 'Q', yes I can manually hit the mode button but I assumed and apparently others have verified that upon phone hang up it should just revert back to previous screen display ?

Check and see if the iDrive has an update maybe? Any other software updates perhaps.

That would bug me. Good luck.
