Baby seats.
Question to all of the x5 drivers that got young kids, what baby seat did you purchase for your x5? Thanx in advance.

Not an X5 driver, but this car seat is the best
Got two of them http://www.amazon.com/Diono-Radian-C.../dp/B005MQRAXM |

I have a clek and a britex. The clek is a great easy to use seat and considered one of the safest seats on the market. Pros: shallow seat, sits high for kids to see out the window; safety; high weight limit; full recline, narrow - can fit 3 across, etc. Cons: Shallow seat makes kids slump forward when sleeping but you can recline even when in the seat; fabric does not come off to wash.
Britex - good seat and comfortable. Pros: envelopes the child - everyone loves sleeping in this seat; fabric comes off to clean; from 5lbs; safety; etc. Cons: sits low; straps are too short and kids will outgrow by 6-7; recline not easy; I have heard good things about radian but can't comment there. |

It doesn't, but this is an X5 forum, so it is appropriate.

sadly for US/NA residents you cannot use a seat that is not federalized or approved in the US. it is a feolony and insurance will not payout if injury occurs because you did not follow proper guidelines and instructions. this is rather unfortunate since europe has much better options and better quality and custom built seats.

We have had the Britax, Recaro, and Clek. The Clek Foonf is by far my favorite.
The seat is the most solid and well constructed that I have found. Plus it is pretty stylish as well. https://shop.clekinc.com/products/fo...ant=8290764609 |

+1 on the Clek Foonf - have had it both rear and front facing in my E70.

Britax Frontier CT (ClickTight). Wanted a Recaro version, but they're not licensed for use in Canada.

not necessarily... most booster and child seats follow set parameters it is the automotive designers who create their own dimensions and designs and styling of the rear seat. the only part that is standard is the location of the ISO-FIX / LATCH tethers everything else is a huge factor in installation and proper fitment.
