So pumped, Venom was always one of my favorite characters when I was a kid. That along with Cable in deadpool 2 is going to make this a great year for Marvel.

Hasn’t Venom always been more of an anti-hero? He doesn’t appear to be the villain in this movie anyways.

He's played mostly the villain - but as a stand alone character, he is the anti-hero.

It’s unclear how deep the Carnage's involvement will be in the Venom film yet.

I'm guessing he'll make an appearance in the end credits cut scene.

Looks great. So much better than that teaser Sony initially put out for the film. I could watch that 'We are Venom' clip over and over again.
I hope there's a Carnage appearance in this!

Meh, I give this film a 50/50 chance at being good so far. Its best chance is to squeak by as a decent origin story, with any luck spawning more films. I think this trailer is lacking because there's no sign of a true villain yet. If it's Carnage, and they do that right, then we've got something. I'm also not a fan of throwing people around with your melted licorice; it's boring. Until we get a glimpse at a true nemesis, there isn't much epic or powerful about this trailer.
