even if I lived in a major metro city and only wanted to drive now and again but not have to deal with parking the car in a $$$ deck...this is waay to steep $$$ for this program. I believe you can lease 4 series for 799/mo in my area. less sometimes. with M Sport PKG. BMW has a great maintenance program with leases too. That's why I'm never scared to buy CPO.
The problem with CPO is wear and tear.

I heard about BMW exploring this subscription plan a year ago when I leased my M bit the cost is outrageous and Cadillac had it first and for less...I'm gonna pass on this although the idea is great the cost isn't realistic.

but most people are intimidated of ruining the car or driving too many miles and incurring charges...at least down in the south

Actually that's one of the benefits and with the limited audience this is aimed at, it's possible to swap 2x per day if one so desires.

"inclusive of vehicle maintenance, insurance "

So BMW self-insures these vehicles? I'm guessing BMW expects these cars to get thoroughly trashed so steeper depreciation and lower re-sale .

This is categorized under travel, I'm assuming my miles could be used to pay for it, but that would not get me very far when it costs $2000+ every month.

It's not available in my area and I can rent from Enterprise Exotics with unlimited flips and other brands like Land Rover, Audi, Porche for a fraction of the cost. I think Turo is also a better deal and you can get nicer cars.

Would it even really be that exciting to try the different models for more than a couple weeks? I feel like once you drive an M5 and M4 and then X5M you drove the best ones. And 2-3 have a very similar engine, and all three are even more similar inside. Sure they have different driving dynamics but come on. This is for people sitting in traffic on the way from business meeting to Home to office.

Not really. This program is targeted towards a very specific audience. For myself, I'd be spending $15,672 less per year subscribing to the M Tier compared to the 3 DD cars I lease and insure. On top of that, it's month to month, I can pause my subscription when I'm away for extended periods and don't need to use it, and there's 2000mi per mo included and any unused miles rollover.

Is it expensive? Yes. Is it meant for a mass audience? No. Will this post garner criticism for financial choices? Absolutely.

That’s such a misrepresentation of your situation as it relates to this program. Who says this program is put into place for you to replace 3 other cars you lease? Lol. One can simply add a car. Your savings is a moot point. It’s almost more than 2-to-1 in savings on an M4 if one goes with a traditional lease.

Lets see, $3700 x 60 = $222,000

yeah I'll go buy a Porsche 911 Turbo (maybe even the S) with a 5 year payment plan instead and own it after those 5 years (and be driving a more expensive car than any of the BMW ones offered).
even with insurance, gas, maintenance, I am sure it will be less than the $222K subscription

I'm not one to criticize financial choices (some people make lots of money and good for you spend it how it makes you happy).

Assuming you're spending $5k/month on car payments, the question would you really want an M5, X5M, and M3 (When you could lease all of those cars individually for about the same price).

If my habits could afford me that, I don't think I would go with an all BMW portfolio.

It would be interesting to see how any of the other folks trying this have been doing in terms of enrollment. They may be fine with memberships in the handfuls just as an experiment. They can always make the costs cheaper down the road once they understand their take rate.

Still inane lol, to me anyway. I don't even think all of my monthly bills exceed $2600 with mortgage and Auto loan/insurance and all the little Knick knacks in life...cell phone and cable...

$3700 jeez. No thanks. Can I just buy an M2 and take euro delivery via business class ticket and still come out thousands ahead .

What the hell is so legendary about these models?

$2k to be able to swap between an X5 / 5er / M2 (/ and presumably Z4) at will is interesting but expensive. Don’t think I’d want to deal with installing kids’ car seats over and over though.

Nearly $4k for the M’s is nuts.

I'd pay $3,700 for one month and only one month, where I got to try all of the BMW Models I wanted with unlimited mileage for 30 days. After 30 days I'd end my subscription though, lol!

I can pretty much do this at my dealership that I have been a long standing customer for 10 years minus the unlimited miles. They let me take whatever home for a day or two when I tell them I'm wanting to try another model after lease end. I know it's a business tied venture but still. It's FREE .

you'd be surprised with what they ACTUALLY did in terms of research. basically they are banking on a sucker is born every minute saying.

same reason they keep putting out edition models. a moron always buys it.

Uber..... nah, I'm sure there's something in there about private hire. I'm sure some high flyers can and will afford this, especially if you live in multiple cities?
