Not in the US at the very least.

Is that a real no. When I attempted on a US spec 2015, I got L&R Headlamp malfunctions.

Hmm, so far who coded it even myself, we didn't get an error code.
It just didn't work as it supposed to be.
Instead of creating a tunnel, it just kill one side of the highbeam.

That's exactly what happened to me. L headlight off....but also headlight malfunction message. I had also included LHM 43 and LHM 44 to have the full European effect...guess not?

Hmm, you might've coded something else that causing that error.

GFHB has finally been solved for the US F15's (and a bunch of other models). Check out this thread over on Bimmerfest, there is a reference guide for the F15 with the specific coding instructions. The final piece of the puzzle was figuring out that we needed to decode the cornering light variables since the US cars don't have those. I've tried it out on our car and it is definitely working now. Kudos to everyone who has been working on this for months and didn't give up! I'm still not sure how they isolated the individual bytes in the LHM module that control the cornering lights, but they did it.

Check it out!

All in BDC_BODY:

DRL:
MAPPING_TAGFAHRL_V_L_PWM_LEVEL_1
MAPPING_TAGFAHRL_V_R_PWM_LEVEL_1

Headlights On:
MAPPING_STANDL_V_L_PWM_LEVEL_1
MAPPING_STANDL_V_R_PWM_LEVEL_1

Parking Lights On:
MAPPING_PARKL_V_L_PWM_LEVEL_1
MAPPING_PARKL_V_R_PWM_LEVEL_1

Each takes a hexadecimal value for the brightness.

Defaults for DRL should be 64, which is 100%. Defaults for the other 2 should be 8.

So, 0% = 0, 25% = 19, 50% = 32, 75% = 4B, 100% = 64.

For those who don't speak German:
tagfahrlicht = daytime running light
standlicht = sidelight
parklicht = parking lights
I recently tried coding these and it didn't make the halos 100% bright with the low beams on. Has anyone else had success with coding for full brightness halos?

Same here, I made those changes on my F15 but the brightness didn't stay at 100% when I switched the low beams on. Help please.

LED Adaptive and Xenon light coding is different. Which headlamps do you have?

Here is hex calculator. So Corona rings are dimmed from 100% DRL to 46% with low beams (64 Hex = 100 Decimal; 2E Hex = 46 Decimal). If you want 100, you change to blue hex in Standlicht Modus 1, 2, & 3 to 64 to match Tagfahrlicht; or you can choose any other desired percentage (eg, 50 = 80%). Plus, you can also set 'Welcome', 'Follow me home', or 'Remote lights,' to the same or desired percentage. And, remember to change both TMS (1082/ 1083).

From what I've seen, I think people should realize the DRL angel eye rings are designs to have a little bit of glare so they function properly as DRL since there is the sun out. When you have headlights on, at 100% brightness you're introducing glare to oncoming drivers which isn't nice especially at night.

I have tested coding, so I know it works, but do not personally disable dimming on my vehicles so have not actually observed. It is definitely sage advise for anyone considering; it does not improve visibility for driver, but could add additional glare for other cars on road.

I've played around with coding 100% DRL angel eyes and I can confirm that at night it's way too bright and excessively glares oncoming traffic.

First night out with the halos at 100% with low beam and I have to say it's amazing.

The lights are brighter, the area closest to the car is better lit. Doesn't make a difference on the highway or well lit streets. But on side streets and completely dark ones I love it. Also during my short drive yesterday I didn't get flashed by oncoming traffic, something that used to happen a lot in MB E400 with adaptive LED.

The way I tested: I drove the oncoming car at night on a rural 2 lane local road (40 mph speed limit). IMHO it's very bright, dazzling and annoying. Not as bad as HBs but not inconsequential.

As the oncoming driver, I've also noticed that even properly adjusted LED low beams are noticeably brighter, whiter and more glaring than both halogens and HID/xenon. Especially when the taller X5 crests a hill or hits a bump. After coding VLD and GFHB I've since manually lowered the drivers side headlight assembly a degree because it's really quite bright to oncoming traffic.

Thread bump - hi everyone thanks for the cheat sheet and all the useful info!

I am trying to do the US headlight sidmarkers through BimmerCode but having trouble finding the option LM_ID_LT04, can this be found in expert mode or do I need laptop coding?

Do you have adaptive headlights on your F15? If yes, then coding is in TMS or FLE.

I have the adaptive LEDs, FLE modules, I recently coded anti dazzle feature and that's working correctly. Do you know which ones in FLE?
