Exclamation Would You Buy An X5M Again?

For those of you who have been in the X5M for some time... Would you buy, lease or finance it again? Is this a vehicle you could see yourself going another round in or would you wait for the new platform or venture off into something different?

I really enjoy mine and would hope to get another one. I do need to figure out the tires situation. At 15-20k miles per year I am looking at around $500mo extra for tires. Would love to find something that would last 20-25k miles but may be dreaming.

AB-SO-LUTELY. I have a 16 and if it were stolen, I’d order another tomorrow. Fall of 19 I’ll get the new gen. Looked at the 911 turbo S as a second car but ordered a M5 that should arrive next week so I can play with the T4 before the next gen X5M arrives.

I've got another X5M on order and I will be leasing again for fiscal reasons. I couldn't find another vehicule I wanted more.

I tested the RRS SVR 2017 but I found it to be too "bulky" and I felt I would have bad experiences with the service after

Porsche is way too expensive for a less capable car unless you take the turbo S for twice the price.

I've got also a Trackhawk on order but I probably won't take it. Too expensive for a Jeep. In Canada, the final price is the same between the two.

Stelvio and F-Pace too small.

Tesla is too plastic inside and too expensive for what it is.

I don't like the look of the Mercedes...

I just picked up my 4th one 5th if you count a three week stint in a Superman specd 2015. And I'd do it again. Nothing else out there that is as appealing for the money.

Been in mine for a year now. Hell yes I would get it again. It has been fun as hell.

Past cars were: 09 C63 AMG, 11 M3, and 14 M5.

If I can get the same deal I have right now repeatedly, no doubt.

I'm currently leasing it with 0 down 0MSD, $1030 pretax/mo

Not a big fan of SUVs compared to cars, but have had them in the past and got one again for practicality reasons (more space, ground clearance). Nearly 6 months in and I am very pleased with the X5M, so yes, I would do it again. That being said, I've never been disappointed with any BMW I've owned or leased in the past.

Mine was an exec demo with 5k miles on it. No money down 15k miles per year with a $1560 payment including taxes. There were only 7 X5M's available in the SE at my time of purchase. I did get new rubber as part of the deal.

Again. It's an amazing vehicle, I love how it performs and to have a sports car that will haul softball gear/golf clubs and will make trips to the hunting club with ease... it's hard to beat. I smile every time I drive it.

It was originally an employee lease. I got it before it even had its brake-in service

I would not buy another SUV. I am a car person. I have been in my X5M for 3 years now and planning to trade in on M5. Thinking that buying the ultimate SUV I would be happy. Put lots of parts in it. Dinan air intake, FI downpipes, FI exhaust, tune, winter tires, floor mats, xpel. Ran 11.86 at 2800 altitude in the quarter....I just find it heavy. Fast, rare, not many on the street. Has everything anybody would want. But I like a car instead.

lol- I would hardly consider floor mats and xpel things worth noting but to each their own I guess.

I would definitely purchase again. It's a big car, no way around that. But against literally everything else in the class, it's the best on it's feet and it's no slouch either. If you don't need the cargo, I would divert you to the F90 for marginally more. Be mindful though, as history has shown the f85 is holding value very well over other M cars, especially M5s of the past.

One of my favorite "perks" (if you even want to call it that) is that the car is extremely stealthy. What I mean by that is for the normal bystander, it's just another BMW, nothing to look twice at. My car is debadged and black sapphire so even more so. It's not too ostentatious from the outside, but the interior is a lovely place to be. Electronics are up to date, everything works, dealer network for service (while hit or miss depending on your area) is still much better than my experiences with Land Rover, Porsche and MB. Another perk is the community you get online. There is a lot more info online regarding these cars than anything else in the market of "sports SUVs". Sure most people on here ask the same redundant questions but it's better than nothing.

I would definitely buy another X6M/X5M. My lease likely will be over right at the end of 2019 so the new gen should be out or about to come out. I believe this is the perfect everyday vehicle.

Do the two hells cancel each other out in the same way that two negatives make a positive in math? Lol!

100% yes... and I have. It arrived in UK last week and then dealership yesterday. Collection will be Saturday!

I had a Monte Carlo Blue one in 2013. I loved it. It had a long list of options, TV in the centre console thing too, along with woes after 6 months starting with power loss, a long long list of errors in fixing by a dealership I now never visit, 2 turbos changed and then pistons stuck because of said dealership errors. New engine, BMW UK paying it off and compensating me and then swearing never to return.

I had the 740d from 2014 and until this coming the new 740Ld M Sport. The current 7 has been simply brilliant and family changes (dog and baby though not at the same time) have meant we need space. I test drove the RR Supercharged, RRS SV and both fast but just something missing in the nav side of things. The X5M just meets all the needs really and post test drive I was hooked again.

I won't get the mpg I have now. I won't get the adaptive cruise control and steering stuff I have now. I won't have the interior I have now either BUT I got space again.

And speed. 7 Series no slouch but the M is another league. My hope is the 2020 model has a similar interior to the 7 and finally adaptive cruise control as an option for the X5M and being able to select Park as a gear

The discount on the X5M and dealer contribution has been fantastic so economics of it all just made it the best deal for the money.

again

i would buy again but I was never a huge fan of the look of the car. I like the looks of the e70 better.

but for the price its the best bang for the buck. I was looking into a 2016 Cayenne GTS or base turbo. both around 15-20K more than my X5 and no where the performance

I would but the timing is making this a problem. My lease is due Jan 2019 and no new X5M until late 2019 at the earliest based on chatter here and elsewhere. Starting a search for alternatives but most are not as capable, more expensive or smaller.

Could you extend the lease 1 year ?
