Cars like this are a matter of taste. Those who liked the original X6, would just love the new one and I'm sure BMW will sell loads. Those who totally disliked the X6 looks in the first place (like me), will just say "meh" again

The X6 offers zero improvements over the F15 aesthetically and loses interior/cargo space while most likely costing more money. Bmw will say it handles better but people buying suv's don't exactly care for that .02 second improvement at the Ring.
I'll take the X5 over this any day of the week.

First CLS was an still is the best looking "4 door coupé". First X6 was an IMO still is best looking "SUV coupé". No feeling this new one. New MLC is interesting, but interior is old, at least the X5/X6 being old, have an updated interior. Cayenne facelift is just around the corner, and IMO best in class.

In the old gen...the x5/x6 looked different up front.
It looks like this time around they used the exact front end from the new X5...

Going to reserve judgment until I see what the M Sport version looks like. I really don't like the chrome trim on those air breathers though. And yeah, I wish they did more to separate the front of the X6 from the X5.
6WB (digital instrument cluster) is confirmed for MY15 X5s in Europe, but the US order guide posted on this forum last week doesn't list it. Similarly, the US X6 order guide didn't mention it either. Given that these are photos of a non-US spec X6, it remains to be seen if they'll offer 6WB over here, at least initially. We don't even get BMW Individual on the X5 yet... |

All subjective. People buy it as they love it. The side on picture doesn't look too great. Rear 3/4 images are nice. Interior is

I really do love how the previous X6 looked especially the rear. The new generation rear looks like BMW design team ran out of time and just came up with something quick. And I also agree that the X6 drives and handles much better than the X5 due to its better balance and the weight is about 200 lbs lower on the X6. The X6 is lower, wider as well. The torque vectoring also helps. It is a coupe after all |

In all honesty, this new X6 looks exactly like a bigger X4. Notice the rear change where the arc of the rear windows are. They are shorter than previous years. I don't know if they shortened the height or just made the windows shorter. I just think BMW is trying to make their cars look too similar now. The 5 series resembles the 7 series much more than previous years. It seems the X4 and X6 are following the same concept.
I don't think the exterior looks bad because the front definitely copies our F15s, but the interior two tone here looks quite ugly. |

Since the X6 drives/handles better than X5. I guess good assumption that X4 is better than X3 for same reasons, I will soon find out. For most, the x6 looks either its a hit or miss, for me it is a big hit. I think the x6 has reduced rear visibility. Two tone, a big miss.
