M Aerodynamics Pack on non MSport F15

Hey guys,

Since I am waiting for my non MSport 50i to arrive any minute now (it's already in the dealership), I have already started doing a list of mods I'd like to do.

So besides coding (which I will certainly do! Read @opasha's tread and have listed a lot of stuff I'd like to do from there), I have already ordered the black grilles. However for most M Performance Parts, there is a limitation as to M Sport only.

So my question is: Does any of you guys know if the M Perf Parts need the whole M Sport pack, or just the M Aero Pack? And if the latter, has anyone tried a retrofit of M Aero Pack on F15?

M Performance aero accessories will require the M Sport package. You can look up part numbers for the M Sport aero on www.realoem.com. It will be a very expensive endeavor.

You may want to consider reordering at some nominal concession (have a chat with your dealer, see what they can do).

Thanks, fair enough! The thing is its much cheaper to get a 7 seater with DHP here (because of no VAT), but unfortunately its incompatible with MSport pack. So I thought this whole Aero pack is retrofittable. I have found out the following parts link:

and was just curious if anybody has done it. I know people that have done it on F10 and although it was expensive it turned out to be pretty good in the end, looked exactly like stock M Sport.

Which line did you order. At a minimum, you can wrap the trim in gloss black vinyl. Running boards also help which you can add even if you did not order. If you went with the Lux Line, you can make it look near M, just with a different front grill.

It is what is called here "Pure Experience". I think it is the equivalent of US Luxury line. Here's a shot I've had of the car in the dealership if you can tell the difference. A bit dirty and raised on the back.. anyway, I have the gloss trims and the running board, as I've ordered them seperately.



currently adding the M Perf black grill - dealer said I'd be the only one with black grills and night vision, as they are in general incompatible and dealer had to cut it. What I want to add is the MSport bumpers with the M Performance lit at the front and the rear.

That's going to be a lot of work. Good luck, hope it turns out perfectly . Update us with pictures when you can .

@tnikolov, yes, you can retrofit the M Sport package front and rear bumper on your car.
It wil be a lot of work though, and it would be the first X5 with M Sport bumper while having a side steps.
