So for my 2013 F25, no C/Drive, one year free BMW assist. Able to "send to car". If I renew BMW assist I can "send to car." Not worth $200/ year. Now for my 2014 F15, no C/Drive, now 10 year free BMW Assist ( maybe of some use?). C/Drive must be ordered on delivery to facilitate "send to car" |

Timely excellent suggestion. Yesterday I tried to input 2 addresses, by voice activation and Controller, only accepted one. Oddly, the accepted one I had to enter city before street and number. Scrolling is faster than turning the controller to enter numbers and letters. Thanks, I will give it a shot.

That's great news! Care to share your steps? I haven't used the computer to send anything yet and was wondering how it works. Thanks!

You need to sign into BMW assist and put your e-mail address in. Then I signed into Google, did the map and selected the route, and when I was done I just clicked sent to car. You pick up the route in the messages folder and put it into navigation. It was easy once you are set up with Google and BMW assist.

LOL, I couldn't get this to work, even with buckeye's instructions!
Finally found this link for Google send to car:https://www.google.com/maps/sendtocar Went to that URL, added my X5 by selecting "BMW" in the car manufacturer drop down box, entered my BMW Assist email info, and voila, I now have a "Send to car" permanent icon inside Google Maps! |

So, I did get it to work (had to switch to Chrome instead of Firefox, just could not get it to work with FF) and now the addresses are showing up under messages. Is there any way to get them from messages to import as a favorite? Seems all I can do it navigate to the address, there doesn't seem to be anyway to take the message and turn it into a saved destination..
Thanks! |

And it does, but I'd like to save the address/locations that I send to the car in the standard navigation area, rather than in messages. Any way that you know to do that (without re-entering the address)?

It should be saved in Last/Previous Destinations.

As others have said, the BMW My Remote app works fine. No problems with speed.
But honestly I find the car nav an absolute breeze to use, especially now with integrated google online search, touchpad and pretty accurate voice recognition. I don't even bother searching on my phone first most of the time. |
