Hi there.. Just got the "check tyre pressure" instruction.. what tyre pressure should i run? i have the 469 mixed... i remember the front and rear had the same
pressure, but should they be different? (usually 3 passengers)

Many thanks

I discussed this in detail in this thread with a fellow member who had very high tire pressure/noise vibration: http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...=tire+pressure

Front: 35-36
Rear: 42-44

That's for 21" tires, but is close to stock values for almost all tire sizes if you look on the driver side door - it should have some numbers there. My front are 35 and rear are 42 for my 22" tires.

As long as you you stay within that range, you're good.

I don't know the tire size for 469 mixed but you can check the recommended pressure in our car's manual. Look at page 212-216.

Here's link to download owner's manual:

There's a sticker in the frame of the driver's door showing all the recommended pressures.

Many thanks everyone..

The sticker on mine is a bit different, maybe because of engine size? so i guess i should put 2.2 in front (275/40 R20) and 2.4 in the rear (315/35/ R20). I wonder why it wasn't set that way from the dealer.. I've only got around 1,300 km on it and the tyre pressure warning comes up on the HUD and dashboard. Has anyone had the same?

Yeah, the sticker's contents depend on the car's engine.

Do the following: refill the tyres to the recommended values, reset the tyre pressure system via the menu and wait.

If you get a tyre pressure warning again and one of the tyres has lost a significant amount of pressure, the tyre might be damaged - or, less costly - the tyre's valve.
