By saying only the m sport do you mean the m sport package has it?

Actually it's the sport automatic that has LC. Sport auto is standard on M sport and, at least in europe, it can be ordered with all models of X5.

In the US you only get the sport auto with the m sport line.

I know I should RTFM, but how do you engage the LC?

Engage Sport+ mode by pressing button next to transmission, hard on the brakes, floor the throttle past kickdown, flag appears on dash, release brakes and hold on.

I thought you had to 'double select' sport, i.e. select sport-plus on the rocker switch and move the gear selector to the sport position then brakes, throttle, release brakes within three seconds, Sh1t!!
