How to add CarPlay to 2015 BMW X5?

Yes I know its an old thread, but as a newcomer to BMW cars (I have a BMW K1600 MC), I'm looking at upgrading to the touchscreen and Apple Carplay.

I'm considering this used kit and would like to know if I need a separate harness adapter, and if anyone has bought from this EU seller.

You shouldnt need anything else. I did the same upgrade but I sourced each part one by one and had to fabricate some wiring just for coding. That seller provides pre-coded parts so you should just be able to swap it right in

I don’t think so. Bummer tech built that to enable the touchscreen integration, but there’s more than one way to do that and it looks like the eBay kit covers that.

Just ask them, they seem very customer service focused.

Looks like a great kit. Not cheap, but good.

Received the package from Latvia this afternoon and 1.5 hours later it was installed and working great.

Wireless CarPlay working perfectly.

Seriously make the F15 feel so much more modern having CarPlay doesnt it?
