Haha... Nice! But we all know that isn't true.. This same thing makes a lot of the diesel owners giddy who claim to have traveled 700 miles on one tank

Yeah, last fill up on the 35d showed 787 miles! Wishful thinking!

many years ago a supervisor at work purchased a new golf diesel ... he wouldn't
shut up about "blah blah blah miles per gallon blah blah blah"

so everyday while he was working, somebody would go to the parking lot and put some
fuel in his tank ... he was insufferable ... "you won't believe" ... "xx miles and the needle
still hasn't moved" ... "just filled up and got xx miles per gallon, unbelievable!!"...
we just smiled and shook our heads

after a few weeks of this, we started having someone go to the parking lot during
the day and siphon out a gallon here, a gallon there .... and his daily barrage of stories
immediately stopped... his long face was priceless when we innocently asked about
his current fuel mileage performance

My highest was 550 miles range.

Don't believe everything you read... I definitely could not drive 550 miles. Maybe 400 miles.

The most i ever gotten was 600km out of a tank and that was driving like a granny. Usually average 450km with normal driving.

That's why I don't drink water on road trips or I'll hold it in for three hours at a time. Probably really bad for my bodily functions.

I have had several tanks over 500 miles, highest was 545 miles. Mostly highway and usually on long trips. I did fill up one time and it said 611 miles to empty.... that didn't happen.

It's not like I'm driving three hours every single day, but I can usually last an entire tank which being 400 miles is about five hours.

And I don't go entirely liquid free, just enough I think to stay hydrated.

Getting 700 miles out of the 35d on the highway is not only achievable, it's easy.
