Not to be rude to the x5/x6 forum......

Here we go again with BMW offering another Half a$$, non inspiring, type of red color. This red is just lame and boring. The X4 can keep that all day.

and they wanna charge $5000 for Imola II............serious?

Why can BMW give us a nice real red color. All the other manufactures offer a true fire engine red.............that's all i'm saying.

First, to judge a color, it has to be on a handsome car. On this thing everything looks wrong.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say I speak for most X5 owners (if not, then just for myself), and say that we don't find X6 much appealing because we prefer practicality in our vehicle. X6 isn't that. If we wanted a sedan, we would've gotten a sedan. If we wanted a coupe, we would've gotten that. We got a X5 because it gives us room and cargo space. But X6 just tries to cover too many basis and doesn't succeed at any. I think this also applies to X4 as well.

I think it looks good. Other than the wimpy wheels and tires and a bunch of cheap plastic everywhere on the front bumper.

Thanks for the pictures Palbay.

I disagree with people who say it is ugly color.
Only photos without sun does not seem spectacular. They should remember when the first images of the new X6 just the previous month were launched.
Effect Shiny Flamenco Red is stunning when in full sun.

I drive an x5m and picked it for convenience over an x6m. I think the best look x5 or x6 variant was the red x6m and the black x6 with the sport package 20" wheels and running boards.

This new car is not sexy in the front, back or sides. It looks like a honda in the intent to suit people who like soft looking cars.

The chrome trim looks diasastrous and the front facia is just plain and boring.

The car is not sexy, mean or masculine looking anymore.

And the new flamenco red color is plain ugly.

That rear fender line/crease reminds me of that irritating MB E class rear fender line... Which they fixed/took away for current LCI/mid-cycle E class.

Just to chime in with my 2 cents (and that's about all it's worth), someone must think the X4 and X6 are desirable vehicles to own. According to the BMW Spartanburg website in May they produced 2,308 and 2,305 respectively. That's not anywhere near the X5 production of 14,682. However, while the X4 and X6 are not the vehicles for me, someone must like them!

And as was said, isn't it great that we have choices!

Kind of creepy. Did you take pictures of this in a random person's driveway passing by?

How can someone who drives an F15 deem F16 ugly ? I don't mean the "practicality" just based on the looks I am talking about. The front of the new X6 is practically identical to the new X5 so is the interior, its just the back of the car that's really different.

I really like the front of the new F15 and the interior with the floating (and therefore light dash) navi screen, but the back of the F15 is something else. Its utterly uneventful, plain and boring, it reminds me of a minivan.

It never seize to amaze me how some keep mentioning the practicality of X6 (or a lack of thereof). Dont you get it ? X6 is a niche car, a bold design statement, it is not a car to go grocery shopping at wallmart with seven kids and in-laws, for that you buy an X5.

X6 with its bold design laughs in the face of practicality. Its a car for someone who doesn't want yet another X5. Its just like CLS or F06.

Its funny to read comments like "why would I spend XYZ money on X6 when the car has no head room...". Of course X6 is less practical, there are fewer X6 on the road (or CLS/F06) therefore the car is more exclusive and unique! This car caters to a different crowd. There's a reason why folks get F06 or X6, they don't want to drive another boring X5 or F10 (what I have).
