Strange black marks on X35d at the door junctions

I have the M Sport in space grey and have the marks on both sides. They come off pretty easily when washing the car so it's not a huge deal for me. I only get them after some rain.

I think that it has something to do with the "flared" design of the sills on the M Sport X5's.

Aaaah, I see what you mean now. That doesn't look great on a dark coloured car does it

Nothing like that on mine but then I do have the running boards so a completely different shape under the doors anyway.

Yup, that's exactly what mine look like too, sorry I haven't put up pictures, I'll try and snap some when the wife comes home this evening. We just cleaned it, so they might not be that visible. They look worse on the lighter colors though, a lot worse on my Alpine White!
