LEDs don't last forever. They do last a long time. And they are on ever second your car is on. Plus LEDs never last the advertised lifespan because other components they're connected too will fail. Could be anything from bad solder, chipset, wiring, connectors etc. I mean you can even compare a 2014 to a 2017 and see a huge strength of color (brightness) difference.

I'm going to try changing LED strip myself (out of warranty). I'm good with door panel removal but is there anything specific to know regarding the removal of the actual strip? Thanks

This is a very very sensitive strip, my guess you will end up breaking it. I know that because I broke the one behind the seats. Just take your time and don't bend it in any shape or form.

I had an issue where several of mine were not illuminating, but some were. It turned out to be an unplugged connector to the bulb under the steering column. |

Only driver door strip not lighting up. I don’t really care too much about breaking it as it’s inexpensive enough. I would assume that it just snaps into place? Thank you all for,the help.

Okay then. Please do let us know how you changed it. My 2014 strips are getting quite dim, so I might replace them if it's easy enough!
