i dont think they are wide enough for me...being in Florida, i can run 325 wide tires all year, need at least 20x11 for the rear.
Unfortunately, that might work in Florida, not Illinois.

Yes very happy I listened to Cat at IND. Everyone's X5M is used for different purposes. Mine is a daily driver and a toddler hauler. The ride with ACS isn't exactly stock in my opinion but good.

I didn't. The vehicle was on the lot. I'm trying to figure out a way to get them gloss black. For now, I'll consider them a beauty mark.

Got it- I wonder why a dealer would order it that way (I came across something similar ).

if you don't regularly use them- vinyl is effective.

BTW - Car is stunning.

The photo that most clearly shows the color difference is this, apologies as we do not have a better one just yet.

Can order the gloss black rails and have bodyshop install.

Did it on my '11 X5M and '15 328D M-Sportwagon...

Glad my '16 X5M came in black

Yup, it looks great. I didn't even notice the aluminum rails in the pics... I just ordered the gloss front and side grilles, as well as sapphire black painted reflectors, from IND. Fantastic service from them, BTW, and the parts looks awesome. I'll throw them on this weekend (might do an install thread just for the hell of it) and potentially post some pics afterwards.

Personally, I wouldn't wrap the rails. I've done some wrapping myself with decent success but it looks like it would be a pain in the ### for the roof rails. I'm sure a shop could do a great job but I would also worry about it holding up. Then again, it's not super visible, so it might be worth the savings for a wrap versus the OEM parts and install (which I assume ain't cheap).
