Coasting stopped working
Hi,
Yesterday, i decided to switch to eco pro mode for a change and noticed that the coasting function does not work. I checked the driving mode, eco pro mode settings and it was checked. I tried different combinations of unchecking, turning off the vehicle, and checking it back on, but no result. The only event that I can think of which happened recently was that i got a warning for low pressure in one of the tyres a couple of times. Seems like the front left tyre is leaking, but thats another issue. So, any help with the coasting functionality would be appreciated. THanks |

Just to be sure, you don't have cruise control on, do you? Try resetting the tire pressures for good measure.

Did you reset TPM after you added air to your tire?

While in EcoPro mode and when you are traveling at above 30 miles per hour and then take your foot off the accelerator, the engine should drop to idle. It will remain at idle until you either press the brake pedal, accelerate, or fall below about 20 miles per hour.

Be honest, noticed I'm pressing brakes more since I'm used to engine braking, but with coasting, that's obviously not an option. When you are heading downhill, you go faster and faster. It's great if there is no speed limit you can go all downhill and then save gas on the climbs, but in reality you will be speeding (and cops love to catch folks on a decline). Finally there is no stability control when coasting, so be careful there.

I had air coming out of the tire for the past few weeks, but it was just a little, so the warning came on every 5 days or so and i just added more air at the gas station. Only yesterday did I find time to go check it out and sure enough there was a 4cm nail stuck inside. They sealed the gap, but I did not reset the tpms after that as it automatically showed the new pressure.
I guess those frequent tmps warnings might be the reason. I will try resetting them today and see if it works. Thanks alphaod @Snow-Kidney |

Update: I reset the TPMs, but still no luck.
Almaretto - I will check later today if the counter works, but the car is not coasting for sure. It uses the inertia to charge the battery, much like in comfort mode. |
