Converting US spec F15 rear lights to EU spec

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have experience coding US spec car to work with Euro rearlights? I already started a thread in Bimmerfest with no luck yet:
http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=933143
I moved to Germany and took my car with me otherwise I would not bother doing it. Now I have amber lights coming up when I push brakes.

Please help!

Tried to go down that road with my 5 series. It ended up being way too difficult.

Adding the rear fog lights was simple. I purchased the button/switch, installed myself and they worked.

I purchased the rear light package, but the plugs were different. That could be fixed, but the coding seemed like a bridge too far.

Interested in hearing about how you got through TUV. Did you have to provide the dattenblat? If so, where did you get a copy?

Your F10 was a problem?

Adding rear fog light on my previous BMW was simple too, by the way it was F10. It looks like it is different with F15.
Getting datenblatt is not a problem. There are bunch of firms that can provide you with datenblatt for 350-400 Euro.
My mistake was that I choose a car shop that didn't have experience with BMW. I was not satisfied with their service in general though.
They somehow made through TUV. The guy who worked on my car said it was red when he first installed the lights on my car. He claims it started coming up in yellow after some time. It is hard to believe, but that's what he says.

That's a first. It's been done countless times and is plug and play for the F10.

Think I confused you. The fog lights worked, but didn't complete the rear light set up to get amber turn signals.

I was referring to the tail lights themselves on the F10 which are plug and play.
