X5 35i... mpg

Yesterday was driving for about 340+ miles with mix of freeway and city... and got mpg that i almost believed to be unrealistic... so filled up the tank and it was almost spot on... i got 27.4 mpg!!! I always reset the trip and odo after filling up gas tank... here is a pic i took this morning... the mpg shows less because the car was idling for some time before i took the pic...

I had close to 30 mpg when I was going 55-60mph on a highway and REALLY needed to manage it to get to a gas station.

If this was to me, then I don't think so. I really have not set it up or use much at all.

I run Eco-Pro most of the time, just came back from a 2000 mile trip, mostly highway. I averaged in the upper 28's for MPG.

What do you normally get in just city and rush hour traffic driving? I have seen people in this forum seeing as low as 13mpg. Ofcourse it depends on driving habits and traffic conditions, but would be curious to know your difference of freeway vs city only driving. And do you normally use Comfort and Sport mode when driving in the city?

14 in city driving
24 highway traveling 80-90
29 highway traveling 60

For me, it doesn't matter if I am in comfort or sport I get the same mileage.

City is pretty bad and 90% of my driving.

Thats normal. I get that as well and mostly comfort mode. It really depends on how fast you drive and the traffic you are stuck in. I drive mostly 80mph in highway so i average around 20-24mpg there.

Doing in the midupper 20's. Better than the 13 X5 diesel which might of done mid 20's highway

On fill up's have range's over 500 miles too. Filled up yesterday, range
was 520 miles. Drove 120 mile town driving topped off tank at a Sam's
took 5 gallons. 24 in city. Don't drive the X5 hard, for zoom take out
the Corvette, 70 75 mph in vette return 30 low 30's mpg

Maybe, but the F15 30d (35d where you guys are) is averaging just over 35 mpg with 50k miles on the clock. That's a lot of £, even if they are worth a few fewer $, in my pocket!

Did you calculate using a US MPG. There is a difference between the two. BTW, my 8.7L / 100 km went to 9.1 / 100 km. I was also driving at 120-125 KM/H.

No, real mpg but also in 'real' usage conditions. Babying it in EcoPro can get single-trip figures in the 40s.
