Are performance grills only high gloss on the frame?

Middle is black plastic not painted, while the surround looks like shadow line? Dealer is telling me this story not sure what to think... Thanks!

Yes only the surrounds are gloss black. You can zoom in to see it.

@1230vani , the M Performance Kidney Grill for F15/F16 only the outer ring that are gloss black.
While the M Performance Kidney Grill for F85/F86, the outer ring and the inner slats are gloss black.
Same as the aftermarket F85/F86 dual slat style kidney grill. The outer and the inner are gloss black, minus the X5M/X6M badge.

No, the X5M has the m emblem. The M performance does not.

The M Performance for X5M and X6M will have the emblem, dual slat, gloss black inner and outer.
The M Performance for X5 and X6 will not, just single slat, gloss black outer ring.
The aftermarket for X5/X6/X5M/X6M doesn't have the emblem, dual slat, available in gloss black, matte black, and carbon fiber.

I believe it is going for $160/pair plus shipping.
But if you have the M Sport, you may want to consider the dual slat. It looks much better.

I got them from a dealership that was offering discount on them. I think it was roughly 220-230 CAD which is around 170 USD. I think you can get aftermarket Dual slat grilles for a cheaper price. They look much better in M-Sport than on my luxury line

Yes, they all have the same size and mounting holes.

Someone broke one of my unpainted dual slate grills that I got from RGSport, so I got the M Performance one from the dealer. Got a really good price and it looks nice with the matte black middle. I was actually concerned it would have an all gloss finish.

You can't go wrong with dual slat.
I have sold them to Luxury Line, M Sport, X Line, in any color they all looks good.

Kzang posted a pic not long ago of dual slat next to regular BMW Performance and I agreed that dual slat looked a bit too busy, so I got the regular OEM ones. Maybe Kzang can post that pic again.
