I'm looking at a used 2016 X5 xdrive50i w/54k miles.

For those that have the CNA coverage, what is excluded on their highest coverage plan? I can't seem to find it.

Looking at Fidelity and CNA plans.

thanks!
CNA stopped covering BMW X5s

I've posted this in another thread but I'll post it here too. I've done some research on this fairly recently (March-April 2019) for my 2015 X5D with 34K miles at the time. I was looking at the following companies with the listed 5 year 100K miles agreement. Pricing varied pretty greatly as some companies wanted close to $9K for protection... but most were around $5-$6K. I've attached the Endurance, Omega, and AA contracts which I believed to be the best when doing the research.

Exclusionary - 5 Year - 100K Miles (66,000 or 13,200/year 1,100/month 36/day for my vehicle)

Endurance - $5328
Omega - $5303 (comes with some maintenance reimbursement perks)
AA Auto Protection - $4907
Hi-Tech (offered by BMW Seattle and compares to their Platinum package) - (4 year - 48K Miles - $5077) not exclusionary
BMW Platinum - (3 year - 67K Miles $6549) not exclusionary

Long story short I'm going with no warranty and will instead save the money for deletes and early maintenance when the time comes. Hope this is helpful to you for comparison purposes.

No problem. Glad it helps. I hated the ambiguity in this process overall so I wanted to be as transparent as possible for other looking. My plan was to extract the text from each contract to compare exclusions but once I decided against it in principle I never got around to it. Hope some others out there have the time and patience to do something like that... it would help us all.

Bmw platinum was exclusionary until recently. Has that changed? Can you post a sample contract?

Agree 100% extended warranty biggest scam ever. You'll never get your money out. Take repairs as they come. These trucks are built solid.

My warranty expiring today with 47k miles.

I have a quote from my credit union from Route 66 for $1650 includes 3 yrs additional with 36k and I have a quote from the 3rd nearest dealer for $4450 includes 5 yrs additional with 75k (until 123k) from EFG platinum package.

Any one with experience in these willing to chime in which would be better? I am not sure if either of them cover the HUD, Sensors, Other Hi tech electronics.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Few other quotes I received are as follows based on my current mileage, Use the following as reference.

Endurance $5000 4yrs/48K (platinum)
Zurich $7200 4yrs/48K
Car chex $6200 5yrs/60K
AA $5,500 5yrs/50K
AUL $6700 4yrs/48K
Fidelity $15,000 5yrs/50k
Continental $5590 5yrs/60k

Route66 no longer offers their top-tier plan (easystreet) for X5s. That’s likely one of the best warranty plans you’ll ever find, even better than Bmw platinum (I have it on my E70 50i, and it has already more than paid for itself). Currently they only offer basic power train coverage (first street, I think) for X5s
