Looking for some help in finding the right X5 50i 3rd row vs DHP
So been debating and looking for while now. Found 2 that I am interested in both near the end of their warranties, both CPO. I am thinking 3rd row would be nice to have but not needed. The X5 with the 3rd row is cheaper also. Below are the specs and price. What do you guys think? leaning toward the one with DHP but wondering if price is to high? I was really wanting to stay sub 40K I see you can get 2015 X5M in High 40K also.
Its $38K vs $42K Is the one with DHP missing any options you guys recommend? Car # 1 with DHP 2016 X5 xDrive50i Price: $42,000 Mileage: 48 K Standard Warranty remaining: 9 months or 1,472 miles Exterior Color: Space Gray Metallic Interior Color: Black Dakota Leather Featured Options Included Packages: Cold Weather Package Driving Assistance Plus Dynamic Handling Package Lighting Package M Sport M Sport Package Featured Options: M Sport Cold Weather Package Driving Assistance Plus Dynamic Handling Package Lighting Package M Sport Package 20" M wheel 469M w/perf rft Adaptive M Susp + rear air sus Soft-close automatic doors Front ventilated seats ACC Stop&Go + Active Drive Ast Smartphone Integration vs Car # 2 3rd row no DHP 2015 BMW X5 xDrive50i Price: $38,000 Mileage: 43K Standard Warranty remaining: 1 month or 6,233 miles Exterior Color: Space Gray Metallic Interior Color: Black Dakota Leather Included Packages: Cold Weather Package Executive Package M Sport M Sport Package Featured Options M Sport Cold Weather Package Executive Package Aluminum Hexagon interior trim 3rd row climate control 3rd row seat + air suspension Enhanced B/T and Smartphone In Standard Suspension Thanks for any advice in advance! |

Do you have the VIN's so we can decode them to compare/contrast?

Without a doubt, buy the one with DHP. A great benefit of not having the 3rd row, you get storage space that you can put a spare tire and get non-runflats. Stop and go cruise is great and I use it everyday on mine. You will be much happier with the DHP equipped vehicle.

Car # 1 with DHP VIN: 5UXKR6C58G0J81625 Car # with 3rd Row VIN: VIN: 5UXKR6C56F0J77314 I don't think Car # 1 is missing anything that I would want but you guys know the options better than me. Only issue is the price. If it was sub 40K I'd go buy it this weekend. The CPO also has me wondering. If it would just be better to find one that in Warranty and pay out of pocket for the extended warranty rather than getting the CPO which is just 1 year and its no bumper to bumper. |

It’s because #1 is worth $4k more than #2.
#1 has more options, DHP, and a year newer, seems silly to consider #2.

What do you guys think of this one has DHP VIN 5UXKR6C51E0J72584 ?
Glacier Silver Metallic 2014 with 47k Miles asking $28K Much cheaper in price but no warranty Would prefer interior color to be black but it appear to have the nappa leather which is supposedly an upgrade right ? The wheels are smaller but I can always go aftermarket with the $14K savings over the CPO one. |

Is there any downside to the 2014 other than the small tweak in transmission for 2015+
Makes me wonder if there is something wrong with it from the Carfax it shows Pre-delivery inspection completed 11/19/2018 I contacted the dealer and they said "well kept preowned. This vehicle was not smoked in. It has minor scratches. I would rate our vehicle a 9 out 10" Not sure how much I can trust them. Also found out Car # 1 with DHP is missing heads up display. Is this something that can be added easily later or do I just have to live without it? Last edited by PanthersFX; 03-22-2019 at 04:50 PM.. |

If you want HUD, look for a car with it. It is not a easy add or you will have to live without it. |

Whats weird is that the Cart # 1 list executive package. I thought HUD was standard on Exec package at least thats what the 2014 option list states, bizarre!

So I test drove a 2016 X5 50i Msport today, had 49K miles on it. It had the 3rd row seating in it.
The color combo was not want I wanted but wanted to get more feel for the ride, handling etc. Does the added rear suspension for the 3rd row add any to handling vs standard suspension? Had it in Sport+ most of the time and was taking on and off ramps on highway close to 60+ mph, At one point i touch the pedal and was at 93 mph Man if this thing does haul ! Asking as I felt suspension was plenty good for my driving style and use on local roads vs DHP which is bit harder to find and cost more. |

The rear air suspension with 3rd row seating doesn't enhance the handling between Comfort and Sport like on the M and DHP setups, but it definitely makes the ride better than the standard springs especially if you have a trunk full of bricks or you're towing a trailer.
