Auto Hold....
When the dealer was giving me the demo of all the features, I thought to myself, what a stupid feature. Who would actually use that. People are so lazy!
Now after having the car for a month, I LOVE that silly little feature. |

My brother had it on his X3 and used it quite often. I have yet to use mine thinking I don't find it useful. Do you use it mostly at red lights? If you drive another car without Auto-H, do you tend to forget to use the brake? Just curious on your and everyone's feedback .

I tend to turn the button on and off though. Meaning I don't leave it on all the time. If I did I could see how that might be bad in my other car. |

Thanks for the feedback both of you . I might play around with it once I get my car back. Too many things to play around with. I feel like I'm getting a new car all over again, lol.

That's the second thing I turn on after putting my car in drive:
1) sport mode 2) auto-hold I only drive 2 miles to work and there's 4 stop lights and a rail road crossing. I do lots of auto-holding. |

Love this feature! have it on my moms Ghost and my X5! whenever i get in the Tesla I forget it does not have it hahaha!
Only part I dislike is when you shut the car off it leaves it with the parking brake and I constantly forget so I hit the gas and don't move at all. |

Now, I use whenever I remember. If there was a way to enable it every time, I'd do it, but I don't like the fact that it still activates when I am trying to parallel park or get into my garage spot. It should not auto hold unless I kept my foot on the brake for more than x amount of seconds. I believe Mercedes requires a deeper press to activate it, which is a nice touch.

Essential, it was a major factor in not getting a RRS along with the crap tech and low BHP diesel. Auto hold is brilliant. On a similar theme, the electronic handbrake is also great. I cannot believe that MB still have the foot/hand affair that has been around for years.

Having such a nice vehicle (you and everyone here) don't you wish you worked a bit far away. I work about 10 miles away, I wish I could drive more but I wish I could drive more somewhere other than NYC..

When I drive to Ikea, its seems like its in another country or something. Its 14 miles from here. Boy do I have a perception problem. When I visit a friend that lives in the San Francisco area though, if something were 'only' 14 miles away, I'd feel like we got there before we left. So close! |
