I am in the middle of a vacation, so I didn't spend a ton of time this afternoon on the winter tire project. What I learned during a very brief phone call is they are available for order now, the ones I ordered today will be at my dealership Monday, and I was told the part number information is exactly as I posted it on here a couple days ago. I will ask Monday, when I pick the set up, where they shipped from.
My winter set came in this morning. I inspected it while my X5 M received an oil change. The set is perfect and gorgeous! It's a metallic dark grey, and looks exactly like the set AwesomeM3 posted photos of in the spring. The offsets for the front and rear are different, so despite the tires being all the same size, they won't look out of place in the wheel wells. The set comes with Pirelli Scorpion Winter tires.

Picked my set up today as well. I was going to post pics, but they are the same gray color as others have already posted. A bit spendy, but glad to be prepared for the snow.

Does anyone have any firsthand experience with the Pirelli Scorpion Winter tires? I had Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snow the past two winter seasons, and thought they were quite good. I'd love some idea of what to expect from the Pirelli's this set comes with.

I had the pirelli scorpion winter tires on my Cayenne turbo, they worked great and were pretty quiet for a snow tire. I have a set on our Audi SQ5, that is the OEM tire for Audi/Porsche performance SUVs. BMW usually uses the sottozeros which is what the Alpina and the M6 have. I personally think the scorpions last longer as well. Can usually squeeze in three winters.

Anyone have any thoughts on the NITTO nt90w? The make them in 275/40/20 and 315/35/20. They are a dedicated winter tire. Thoughts???

Do the PA4's have the right load rating? Asymmetric tread? Or N Spec?

They have a 106 load rating instead of a 108, but, according to my math and my dealer the 106 should be fine.

Michelin lists them as the N-spec so I don't think they are the asymmetric tread. That being said, I'm having a hard time getting a set right now and I am considering the same sized X-Ice tires.

My dealer quoted the following (retail price) for 611M wheels (20") with Pirelli Scorpion Winter tires:

36-11-2-349-640 - $1196/ea
36-11-2-349-641 - $1293/ea

Does that sound like the correct wheel package for the X5M? I think I prefer 20" for winter.

I ordered mine mid-September, and the part numbers were the same as what was available this past spring, and not what you listed. The prices were also less than you were quoted. I'm attaching a cropped photo out of my invoice that will show part numbers, and prices for you.

What exactly (wheels, tires) did you get, for what vehicle?

As I stated in various previous posts in this thread, I ordered, and received the BMW approved winter tire/rim set for the F85 X5 M. There has been much confusion on this forum as to what are the correct part numbers for this set. Most want the 20" 611M rims in dark metallic grey with Pirelli Scorpion Winter tires mounted on them. The part numbers I just posted are the correct current numbers for this option per BMW's most recent dealer bulletin regarding their official winter tire sets.

Sorry to make you repeat yourself, it is a long thread to memorize.

Perhaps the part numbers I received were for the stock colored 611m wheels? More silver, less dark grey.

BMW's ETK system briefly showed new part numbers for the winter tire set for these vehicles. It also indicated the rims were two toned/polished, and no longer monotone dark grey. About a a month ago, BMW sent an internal bulletin to their dealerships indicating the part numbers for their official winter tire set for these vehicles would be the numbers I posted for you, the same ones they used in the springtime of this year. AwesomeM3 was the first on this forum to order his, and he used those part numbers. Ask your dealership to look for the bulletin that came out mid-September about winter tire sets, and not to go solely on what ETK lists, it isn't always correct.

just ordered mine; the mono-tone dark gray like the picture from urban and awesome; for what it's worth, I checked and the part numbers were confirmed to be the ones in urban's thread (and parts guy confirmed the color as the dark gray)

Good looking set of wheels!

I agree 100%! This is the first time I can ever recall looking forward to putting my winter tires/rims on. I'm looking forward to seeing how these change the look of the X5 M.
