Brake squeak issue

Hi, Guys,

Bought my F86 in June, but I heard the squeak noise when the car come to stop from day 1. It happens sometimes and only when the brake warms up. Visited dealer three times. First, shampered the pad, not working. Second, change a set of front new modified pad, not working. Third, after contacting the BMW headquarter, change the whole four sets of brake parts, squeaks still there!!

I have read the related thread, many people having this problem. But I want to know is there anyone having no squeak at all? Should I come back to dealer again? They have held my car over 1 month since June.

Two of my friend's F86s got the same issue. Any one's F85/86 has NO squeak at all?

Thanks!

Thanks. It's not good even it's "normal". We drive it on the normal road most of time.

Mine also squeak. They've squeaked since I picked it up. The X5 M I drove during my trip to the Performance Center also squeaked, albeit not quite so badly as mine do.

Brakes

I own 2015 X5M and mine are bad too, I'm taking mine in on Friday to see what they can do. Also, my brake pads stick to my rotors after I wash car and let sit for 3-4 days. I'ts hard to back out of my garage. Anyone had that problem?

This car squeak a lot more than my F80 M3. I found that blasting the brake rotors area while washing the car once a week helps.

Yep , that happened to mine as well.

Have you got also rust on the rotors after cleaning ?

Mine rust immediately after I've rinsed the wheels after washing them. The rust wears off after the next drive. I've not had my pads stick, though.

Owning the F86 since May. Had only 2 squeaks until now, beside that, total silence. Is it only me the lucky one?

Mine squeaked until about 3,500 miles. Then it moved to a "clicking" noise (see other threads). Now I'm at about 7200 miles I have neither

Good to know...I haven't hit 3,500 miles yet, so hopefully the brake squeak will fade by then.

I have 8000kms now. I wash the car the car once a week, drive hard from time to time, mostly normal speed, not slow traffic.

I did nothing special, driving the car. Probably if i will track the car and get extremely hard on the brakes they will squeak. In the past i had a 800hp Golf 6R. With Alcon BBK & Carbotech RP2 pads. That car was making a lot of noises when braking )

Took mine at BMW San Antonio, they kept it for 4 days to hear noise. They clean all 4 brakes and sound is gone.
