After washing it, rust forms very quickly and it appears the rotors are rusted stuck the next day. Just drive it and apply brakes while driving to clean them up. |

I wish my brake squeak would go away. I'm at 7k miles, and it's as bad as ever. I'm debating making an appointment to see if the service department can fix it. With what I've read here, I don't hold out a lot of hope they'll be able to do much.

Unfortunately, a BMW service advisor told me that M cars do this. He said pump the brakes a little and that should get rid of it. Don't ask me where he got that from. He could have made it up for all I know.

I had the same Problem on my Audi S3. Doing a lot of City will make the brakes squeak.
To solve the problem, you will have to brake strong a couple of times. You can also chamfer the brake pads to help reduce the squeaking noise! Hop it can help! Have a nice week! |

Same for me for the SQ5 and both of my S4's (B8's). Pretty much just accepted it as a side-effect of owing performance German cars these days.

Man, I hope that's not true. I hate brake squeal. I'm hoping bedding and then occasional hard braking will reduce or eliminate it. I'm not sure it should be "expected" in these cars. I know in my AMG it wasn't an issue.
