Just picked up my 2016 X6M - Q's about Suspension and Aesthetics (Orange County)

Hi all,

Just picked up my 2016 X6M - such an awesome ride.

I wanted to ask everyone what immediate aesthetic modifications you guys did to your cars (black out kidney grill? black out side x6m chrome marker? black tint amber front side lights?) Anything else I am missing?

Also, for suspension - what is everyone's thoughts about lowering the car? I found H&R springs that lower the car about 1.3 inches per their website (http://www.hrsprings.com/application...ts/4/1783/2016) - is there anyone on here that has lowered their car and have any feedback? Or a different brand or anything.

Also - I am located in Orange County, CA. If anyone knows a trustworthy shop around here to do my mods at please let me know.

Any feedback is appreciated.

About the Black Grill and the side marks, you can do it by yourself. That's how I did to my X6M.

You can buy the grills and side marks here: http://ind-distribution.com/ind/brands/bmw

How do you like the ride? I hear H&R really make the ride stiff especially for the rear passenger area.

I think it's somewhere around 18%. I did my fronts at 20%, and they are a close match, but ever so slightly lighter if one really looks closely.

oregon requires 35%! wonder if it would look weird if the tint didn't match the back?

I think 35% would look fine. It's still better than no tint at all on the front windows.

Phase one complete. My local shop used the AC Schnitzer springs. I can't feel any major differences in the ride.

Wow that looks very nice! Congrats. My springs aren't in from Germany yet, will update thread when they do.

You painted your calipers red??
