X5 M sporty Mud Flaps questions

I am wanting to install mud flaps on my 2015 X5 50i M Sport.

BMW parts says theirs only fit the front and do not fit the rear of a M sport for some reason.

I have seem pics of them on M Sports. Does anyone have a source for them or what you need to do to modify the BMW ones.

I want some like these and painted to match..

They do not fit F15 M sports, at least the fronts don’t. The bottom photo you provided above is the previous generation E70, so totally different.

I have a set of front flaps, painted mineral white with clear film installed on the backside to prevent paint flaking. I never installed them because of the gap between the flare and the mud flap (see photo). If you look closely at the first picture you posted, you can see the same gap. The only way these will fit correctly is if you have the flat fender flares.

Or if you are extra skilled with a dremel?

As per the attached instructions, when fitting to a car that has fender flares, you have to cut the mud flaps using the provided template.

Only if you are willing to Dremel the fender flares so that the flaps sit closer to the body. There is not enough material on the flap itself and the shape is all wrong for it to contour to the flare.

Actually, you are incorrect. The template you speak of is for trimming the flaps to fit around the available step boards on non M-Sport models, not for trimming to make it fit the fender flares.

I have a 2015 35i M Sports and this is what I got and fit perfectly

https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...r/82162302431/

P.S. - I don't know why they now described it as "For vehicles without M Sport bumper". Pretty sure there was no such disclaimer when I bought mine 3yrs ago

Yes, you're right, my bad.
I remembered something about the template, but obviously I was confused.

Actually, when you order OEM Mud flaps, the codes are different for 18-19" wheels or 20"-21", and that is because of the fender flares on the later.
