Any plans to add paddle shifters to xLine? Would love a sport auto option for the xLine.

I have an msport on order. Feedback on the seats if they have one there would be great sport vs comfort seats. Is it worth $900 more or is sport good in new seat version. Also curious for info on the extra sport+ mode in this pkg.

Thx. Have fun there.

I am interested in a good picture of the center console that faces the rear seats and how much foot room there is in front of it. Thanks!

Hi! Could you ask if they have any plans to add black nappa leather to the options list at some point after launch? Brown and Ivory aren't exactly everyone's favorite colors.
and no.2 :
Will the M Sport steering wheel be available as an option without the M sport package?

Here is my list:

* Running boards on new X5 appear to have smaller width compare to E70. Please confirm with them?
*EPA Estimates on xDrive 35i. They haven't released the official numbers yet.
*Reason behind very limited exterior and interior colors. Compare the number of colors offered by Merc and Range Rover. (almost a dozen colors)---probably to promote " BMW individual"
*Dealers are not validating the ultimate driving experience credit of $1000 for 2014 X5 although the fine print states its applicable on all the models of 2013 and 2014.

Again, thanks for volunteering, Jason.

According to fueleconomy.gov:

City: 18 Highway: 27 Combined: 21

What's still missing, though, are the numbers of the 35d - but that's no surprise considering its later launch-date.

Another one for the list - Will the M Sport line add extra horsepower the way the M Performance package did (15 Hp) for 2013 3.5i?

Is the 3rd row access still the same where you have the latch on top to rotate the chair (so you can keep a car seat in place)? Thanks.

Towing capacity?
Factory hitch? If no factory hitch, see next question
Does the BMW dealer supplied hitch still require a cut in the bumper facia, like in the E70?

Can you please validate if the steering feel gets progressively Heavy in the ///M-Sport models.

I had 4 E70s and am one of the people that loves the heavy steering feel on the opposite I hated the 650i cab steering feel (non- ///MSport) ended up getting rid of it in 2 months....

After getting rid of my ///M3 lime rock park I ended up with a 911 and love the feel.

I want to make sure I am not making a mistake with my F15 order and am simply wondering if I should Switch to the Cayenne or will BMW be able to hold on to my SAV/SUV business....

Steering feel is very important to me...

BTW - where is it taking place ?

Thanks Jason

Jason,

Can you get clarification on the suspension options? What is the "standard" M-sport suspension, what can you upgrade to...(the BMWUSA build your own won't let you select certain options so I am not sure if the builder is not functioning right or you can't get certain options with certain packages.) Are there limitations on the suspension options with the 3rd row seat.

How have they changed the 3rd row seating option from the E70 version?

Thanks,
X

Agree. Clarity on this would be helpful. I'm interested in the $4500 dynamic handling package but want to know what this means if opted for on the xLine versus Msport line.

Once you opt for the Dynamic Handling Package, it doesn't matter which line you go with. Suspension will be identical.

Here's what I wrote on a different forum:

Quote:
I'm not too familiar with the current (I assume E70) X5 but based on what I see, Adaptive Drive on the E70 consited of Active Roll Stabilization (ARS) and Dynamic Damper Control (DDC).

2VF consists of a sporty chassis with a matching Dynamic Damper Control (DDC) and a self leveling rear axle. 2VF, however, does not include Active Roll Stabilization (ARS). For that, you would need 2VP and that is only available when ordering the entire Dynamic Handling Package (ZDH).

Thanks for that but I was wondering about setting that in sport mode regarding suspension then what sort of steering/throttle options are there with xLine versus Msport.

Good write up about dynamic handling pkg though.
