2014 x5 35d m sport. (the snowman) build
Hi gents and ladies.
I just got my 2014 X5 35d last week. I'm super happy with the new x5 (coming from a 2009 4.8). This is my first new car major purchase of my adult life (33). I've been ad avid car builder / modder all my life. I previously years ago had a 91 325is as one of my first cars which I dubbed "snowball" being alpine white. Given this guy is the same colour and obviously way bigger... His name is " the snowman" I look forward to all your threads in the future. Some great x5s out there already. Options : Alpine white Black dakota leather M Sport package Premium package Xenon lights HK audio Upgraded mods : M performance lip M performance rear defuser with wings M performance hatch spoiler M performance mirrors M performance black grills M performance brake package M performance 599 21" wheels Weather tech mats - front, rear and boot. Us millwork front plate tow hook braket with quick release I'm dying to lower it asap and just waiting for options like all the rest of you. For now here are pics as she sits pre m performance parts but will transform by the weekend. As I progress I will update more pics. Cheers. Last edited by Xtremery; 04-30-2014 at 04:51 AM.. |

Congrats! Looks great! Can wait to see your upgrades.
There is a lowering thread started, if haven't seen it yet. Don't know if it's manditory or not in BC, but your first pictures without the license plate looks better. I'd leave it off if I can. Z. |

Yes I agree looks much better with no plate but it's mandatory to have unfortunately.
I will go without it as long as possible but I believe the fine is $135. |

Mine is attached in the tow hook hole and removes with no holes in the bumper at all. I can remove it in about 5 seconds without any issue and no drill marks. I hate front license plates and if I have to have it on this was my preference.

Ahh, gotcha. I didn't know yours wasn't drilled. That's smart! Yeah, I don't like front license plates either. This law got passed for our state only recently, unfortunately.

I have the exact same f15 and I also want to lower mine, I'm hoping that it can be done with programming since i think with the m dynamic sups it used air on all 4 corners. Congrats

Ggluck3, no. Dynamic suspension still uses 2 springs front and self-leveling rear. And the lowering kit is already available from H&R for the car with rear self-leveling.

Wow, love it. I almost wish I went with AW instead of Carbon Black.
