Must-have options?
F15 owners... what are you some must have-have options when considering an X5? What are some options that your X5 that you could have, in hindsight, probably have done without?

See the survey results in my signature line. It covers a lot of the options.
A lot of it is dependent on what you want: more safety, increased comfort, better handling, luxury amenities and finished, etc. |

Heads up, driver asst plus. Upgraded sound system.
Went M sport just because wanted a dark headliner. Have LED light pkg I haven't drivin at night but once so can't really say on them On my 13 had comfort seats, didn't pick this time. Only thing might miss is the adjustment for shoulder section of seat. Otherwise feel the same |

Sure did. It had to coordinate with the Ivory and Black. No difference
than paying an extra 3,000.00 to have my couch covered in a leather to match my Eames Chairs. You pay to get what you want. If can't afford it than maybe looking outside your means. Spending in the mid 70's, 4,000.00 not that much |

M-sport is a must have just for the steering wheel alone. Plus the X5 is just so much sexier in M-sport trim.
HK sound system LED Headlights Comfort Access M adaptive suspension min or DHP Features I could live without Cooled seats not very effective Rear seat entertainment(my kids would disagree) 3rd row seats(my wife would disagree) |

Now days BMW went and changed the "sport package" Msport for mostly cosmetic... on the X5 Msport includes the aero trim and IMO better looking front, sides, and rear, Sports Auto transmission program, black lined headliner, sport shifter, sport steering wheels and paddle shifter, shadowline window trim some more I'm probably forgetting. To me standard suspension on the X5 wobbles on uneven roads like a standard SUV is meant to be? But I prefer a more flat ride and all corners of the vehicle to be flat during spirited drives around corners or sharp turns.

you can live without the ACC, SC doors and park assist. i had to have all the options otherwise i would've just went with another L320 RRS-SC. knowing there were more options i could've had i would think about retrofitting and it would be more of a bother than it would be worth so i went for all them. if you just want a no frills luxury suv the L320 RRS/RRS-SC would do that and at a better price.

Thanks everyone. I'm looking at an X5 that is optioned nicely when it comes to creature comforts, but is lacking anything related to suspension upgrades. I have Adaptive Drive on my current X5, so wondering if I'm really going to be let down not having this going forward.
