that is what i fear the most, looking up my vin shows production date of 2016-03-12. now is that march 12 they started production or march 12 it rolled off the assembly line, cus if its the latter then it most likely got hit by the hail damage as i believe it was march 14th the hail hit.

I would demand to know if it was and if it was I'd reject it.

Congrats! Bmwvin.com shows my X5 with a production date of 3 June so I swear ours came off the line together. Good stuff.

Hope its not one of the hail damaged cars that's undergoing PDR !!

http://www.bimmerfest.com/news/90485...s-spartanburg/

Atleast this is reported:
"Customer Sold Vehicles
For any order that was Priority 1 (sold to a customer) prior to this announcement, if the customer refuses the car and wants a replacement, BMW will rebuild their vehicle and price protect the new order. If your BMW is affected by this hail storm you can let your client advisor know you would like it rebuild at that time. "

Hail damage happened in San Antonio not Spartanburg so your car is delayed for some other reason. Just order another from another dealership - take delivery of the first one that arrives.

No. It was definitely Spartanburg.

After a bunch of changes, this is our final build.

35D
M-Sport Line
Carbon Black Metallic
Ivory and Black Dakota
Fineline Oak

Driver Assist Package
Cold Weather Pkg

Multi-Contour Seats

I think that's the highlights.

MPPK tune decreases your 0-60 time from 6.1 seconds to 5.6 seconds. I'm pretty sure the tune increases the boost more than 20HP that is stated by BMW. BMW is notorious for understating their power rating. There is no impact on MPG.

This tune is done at your dealer and if you are interested in this I would talk to your sales guy about adding this before taking delivery.

I will have to look into this further, maybe it only does its thing in sport mode e.g. you retain MPG in comfort mode or maybe it only kicks in when you put your foot in it. I wonder if it remaps the DSC/DTC as I prefer that crap to be turned off especially in snow where those systems are retarded. 5.6 seconds vs 6.1 is no joke.

Impatiently awaiting the arrival of my X5M ... finished production today ... vin decoding shows build date was 6-5-16 ....

How long after your build date did your vehicle arrive at your dealer in NY? Curious as mine is going to NJ.

I spoke with BMW customer relations yesterday, while they loaded my X5 onto a train for California its still sitting in SC I guess waiting for the train to fill up. It won't arrive in Oxnard, CA untill June 19th, that's like 2 weeks when a train could get there in 3 or 4 days at most.

Then its going to sit in Oxnard and be 'processed', inspected for shipping damage, window sticker applied, and outfitted for shipping by truck up to my dealer in OR that's another almost 1,000 mile trip. At this point I'll be happy if it arrives before the end of June.

Mine went to Finishing touches within 2 weeks but was not a M.

Shipping took about 2 days.

As I read in this forum, it appears that they had a similar build already and I just hit the right time.
