Do your adaptive headlights pivot left?

When I turn my wheels left, my headlights do not pivot, but when I turn them right they go all the way to the right.

Isn't active curve illumination working on my X5 LED lights?
There is no problem with the fogs, they come on both side.

Here is a video: https://www.dropbox.com/s/9sy210y0n5...72250.mp4?dl=0

Paging @MattBianco @skalberti, since they are the only ones I know who has LED's.

That's how it is supposed to work. It doesn't go nearly as far to the left as it does to the right. Don't want to blind oncoming traffic. For instance, if you are stopped, waiting to make a left turn, your wheels are probably turned a little to the left while you wait for traffic to clear. If the lights rotated left too far, they would be blinding oncoming traffic with the higher light pattern that was meant for the right shoulder. My previous 3 cars, (with xenon) behaved exactly the same. Of course, this is all mirror imaged on right hand drive cars.

I never noticed this with my Xenons, I guess because they weren't as bright and "pointy" as LED's. Can this be disabled via coding or is this a hardware limitation where the steering wheel decouples itself from headlight rotation mechanism? For someone who would be driving a lot in narrow dark roads, I think this would be extremely valuable.

Enable VLD, and you'll see that the left actually moves with your steering and it does it in a MUCH smarter way. I couldn't make a video tonight because it was pouring rain, but I was truly impressed by my visibility especially with the high beams coming together. I was on a 3 lane highway stuck behind 3 18-wheelers who decided to go fast at the same speed trying to pass each other. You can imagine the amount of decreased visibility everyone else was having while their intense amount of water was splashing about. I was still able to see quite well and maneuvered through them with the space allowed and the kick of my v8 with the RaceChip tune in EcoPro...yes, in EcoPro. I am really impressed with what my car can do now.

For the Bi-Xenon, I highly recommend removing 8S4 from your FA and VO Coding BDC_Body.

Has anyone done this on LEDs because 8S4 is also added on LEDs as well.

There is no prerequisite for this, right? Since you mentioned do the VO coding first so this also won't impact any of future codes either.

I have Bi-Xenon. They are adaptive and move. No prerequisite. Just do as I've instructed. It's also in the OP . It does not affect any future coding because VO Coding restores everything to factory settings. Once you do this and then start fdl coding, your fdl coding stays until you do another VO Coding process on that same folder that you did fdl coding to.

Got it, I just have to make sure I won't have to do any other VO coding, and I guess there is no need for any other VO coding since VLD is pretty much the only VO coding I will be doing anyway, maybe enhanced bluetooth.

Yeah, VO Coding is rarely done unless you're adding or removing anything from your FA.

add 6NS = VO Code HU_NBT

add 6WB = VO Code Dkombi and HU_NBT (this is for navigation to work correctly in the instrument cluster if Dkombi doesn't do it alone)

remove 8S4 = VO Code BDC_Body

All are independent of each other. So, if you VO Code one ECU folder, it has no effect on the other ECU folders so their fdl coding remains in tact.
