I find it odd that the HK has this much power and so little clarity. The HK is very mid heavy and not in a good way. I was not expecting to be disappointed by the HK system but I deeply regret not getting the B&O system. I should not have to crank the volume to 75% to get mediocre sound from this system. The B&O was clear at all volumes.
+1 on being dissapointed with HK in the X5. My main concern is the lack of bass, it just depends which type of music you listen too. For most people HK is a superb system, for me it is just not as good. I also would not confuse home audio systems by HK which are great! B&O is overpriced for this car, but there is no middle ground here. Previous X5/X6 had BMW individual audio system which was half the price of B&O but that thing sounded great (for the price). I got the B&O and again it is overpriced but felt cornered bcs I would not be fully satisfied by HK. I think for me almost all the extras are good in a way, could not justify the 4 zone climate this time around as I had it in the previous car and (besides looking cool) was almost never used.

Wow that is quick for the UK. I placed an order for mine in December and the delivery date has just been pushed back to the end of April.

That's very true. Same in Canada where they pay more for the car. I guess BMW's reasoning is that they can bundle in more options in to the standard MSRP based on this.

It is even more than the UK in The Netherlands as they have additional tax over VAT, which is 21%. I am in Istanbul at the moment and my Turkish colleagues tell me that it is even more expensive here at around 150k Euros for an M50D.

Sounds good, buddy. I look forward to your review. Let me know when you have an ENET cable ready and software downloaded. I don't know if I sent you the software, but I'll PM you it now.

No, it's an ETHERNET OBD2 cable (one side is ethernet for your laptop/tablet running Windows OS whether on Windows laptop/tablet or Mac (Virtualization with Parallels or Bootcamp and the other side is OBD2 port for your car connection). If you look in my coding thread, there are two you can buy easily that ship all over the world. The other easy option for you is to go on Amazon or Ebay UK and find a similar one. I always choose the best sellers with Ebay Fast n Free if you go Ebay route.

Thank you for the compliment, but I only do it to help people, no fund/money needed, my friend. God rewards me with the friendship and kindness of others in return . My only request...if I help you, pay it forward in your daily life by helping someone else. One tiny act of kindness goes a very long way (butterfly effect).
