I've had better luck with aftermarket wheels versus oem. Heck even oem's get wheels from "China".

There's almost no sidewall rubber and the set sticks out of the fender quite a bit

I like the style of 469M. When it comes to aftermarket ones, American racing, rotiform wheels and Niche are some of my favorites.

Picked up 2016 x50i a few weeks back with the 467 double spoke wheels and wanted a 20" staggered setup for 3 seasons (keep 467 19" for winter).
After reviewing this thread and several others I decided to try out a value setup: replica 611M wheels with exact same specs as the 469s and also trying out the cosmo tires (mucho macho) which are starting to get some good reviews from X5 owners. Totally changed the look of the vehicle so wanted to share in the event others are contemplating a new setup.

With 22" wheels you need the BBK or m brake rotor and calipers to "fill in the gap". Or it always looks off.

I think that's why " looks cheap " comes to mind. With the right bigger brakes the bigger wheels look purposeful without them the proportions are off.

I definitely like many of the OEM options but there are a handful of aftermarket options that I would much prefer. A number of Vossen wheels come to mind.

It is interesting that the OEM wheels are so popular.

how much were the tires? when I was looking for new tires I came across those and they were pretty cheap as far as I remember. I wasn't sure about the brand - I never heard of them. You should post a review when you're done with them. Do you know what their tread life is? I ended up getting Toyo Proxies ST3 from tire crawler for 730 shipped... 40,000 miles life and heard good reviews. About to install them and see for mylself

Strong enough to handle the pothole ridden roads in and around the NYC area.

Not too pricey compared with other vendors out there.

Unique customization options available as well.
love this color, and wheel combo. if only I could figure out how to post photos on this forum

I'm going to go with something like this or a GTS style wheel in 22" though. That's if I keep her... my wife really loved the X3M and X7 at Bimmerfest. 😩 The pic below is from a fellow X5M member 21" EricU

I love that red on the X5M's. I wish I had the disposable income to have an X5M of my own. Although I guess performance wise, a 50i with a tune gets pretty close.

I paid $375 for all 4 tires (no tax/free shipping) from priority tire. Rating is 300AAA. For the price I couldn't resist giving them a try. So far so good but only 200 miles on them. I'll post back tread depth/miles as I get more time on them.
