M-Suspension or not?

Hey guys just placed an order for an xDrive35i X5 but I passed on the M-Suspension. I’m not a very aggressive driver and worried that the M-Suspension would stiffen up the steering wheel a bit. Does anyone know if it actually stiffens up the wheel? I had an E70 50i and the steering wheel was like a rock which I did not like.

Thoughts?

For $900 its a no brainer, you can switch between sport (tightens up the steering and suspension with aggressive revving) back to comfort (loose steering and comfy/floaty suspension). What I like to do is customize the sport setting by adjusting the chassis only, but leaving the drivetrain in comfort. Worth every penny IMO

+2 - have it and love it.
Didn't have it on my 2015 and I can tell you it makes a difference.

Comfort mode is just not stiff at all.
Good to know that it was only a 900 upgrade and worth it IMO.

FYI - E70 steering is extremely heavy compared to the a F15 steering wheel with or without Adaptive M suspension.

Also this suspension upgrade doesn't necessarily make your ride harsh.. complete opposite. Research research research

Nobody goes for a test drive these days before buying a 70k+ car?

It seems that everyone is recommending the adaptive M suspension but after looking at my driving habits and seeing that I rarely ever put my car in sport mode, I think I'm going to stick with the ceramic controls instead as I think they give the interior nice little finishing touch.

Thanks for the feedback

In this case, its challenging to find a car on a dealer's lot with adaptive M suspension since dealers don't typically add this to the option list.

I’m in comfort mode 95% of the time, you don’t need to be in sport mode or an aggressive driver to benefit from / appreciate the benefits of adaptive M suspension. Best money I spent on my X5
