you got it. 6WB for F01/F10/F25/F15/F16/F06 are all same dimensions. there is no 6WB for F25 from factory. the only way to do the swap would be to take it from any of the aforementioned series vehicles. so you just update FA for 6WB option and because 6WB isn't actually valid for F25, you may need to use FA from F10 and any above model, even f15. you can also edit existing FA to mimic applicable model FA and be sure to edit the VIN to match your vehicle's VIN.

Will you do the ceramic control swap also? Would finish up the middle console nicely.

next up is the swap of the side mirror covers for the m performance carbon fiber alternative. i thought of going after market but was able to score these at about 50% off new pricing and they were brand new in packaging, on ebay. fitment with the other varieties seemed hit or miss online and didn't feel like taking a chance.

i wasn't sold on doing carbon fiber but the more and more i saw other builds with them it grew on me and now that i have them on my own vehicle it looks great.

my other thought was to do all gloss black accents with the white as the window trim and kidney grills are gloss black but the carbon fiber works pretty nicely and i knew i would have a cf theme throughout the interior and exterior to balance the aesthetic.

some folks like to just pop them off from the outside but i've seen that end poorly and with broken clips so i went ahead and did them like the service manual suggests and removed the front mirror first then release the two major clips from the interior.

the cap still did not come off as nicely as my f30 and other cars i've done this on. it required now still more "persuasion" from the outside working around at all the clips and tabs - there are quite a bit especially along the perimeter. take your time and be gentle but firm.

Nice man. Glad the cluster swap proved easy. And your spot on concerning the MP interior. I had an order in and after 3 weeks of no info I finally called getbmwparts and found it was backordered till sometime in December. So I politely cnx the order and used the $ elsewhere and will come back to it later.

Btw you have the part number for the v2 wheel? I?ve only ever seen the standard MP steering wheel on any websites. I?ve never been a fan of complete Alcantara wrap but I love the partial on the V2.

i am eager to get that phase done with the m performance cf interior as the rest looks amazing in the car but horrible with the dash and doors in walnut.

the part number is 32302413014.

yes that is why i like it so much. two textures and alcantara doesnt get hot or cold like leather. additionally this shape is very nice.

had to tackle the shifter trim to swap to carbon fiber. step idontknowwhat in my quest for a carbon fiber interior...that and the bonus M shifter glass looks really nice.

use a small flat head or trim tool with fine edge to gently lift the side of the shifter glass cover. under that you will find a T10 screw for removal of the shifter trim.

do the reverse and you're done.

@monkiboy , just curious. Is the CF center console OEM or aftermarket?

Hmm, good to know, thank you.
For a second I thought it was aftermarket since there are waves on the clear resin and gaps where it meet the silver part.

i actually returned two others because one had a very small fracture and another had a yellow ish tint to it. this one is perfect though.

i think the issues you are seeing are fragments of my bad photography and some moiré perhaps.

i am definitely going to check again though. i'm crazy meticulous when it comes that sort of detail. thanks for the mention.

with the gloss black components on the exterior i wanted to tie in the roundels. i picked up the gloss black painted OEM roundels from IND and they came out great.

once again, a very simple mod. no hairdryer or heatgun necessary if warm out. it was a 70 degree day and the stock pieces came off lovely and neat leaving no residue or double sided tape behind.

just use a trim tool and release the two, and snap the new ones into place.

post up and make it happen - it's a bunch of fun. personally, I wasn't a big fan of the f15 but once I started putting my touch on the car in the form of desired mods, it really is starting to feel right and enjoyable.
